i have a small channel i use sealey tools since 250 super mig welder when i was a teenager to todays modern tools includeing 3/4" impact wrench 660 start battery charger and and cordless sawsall keep up the good work

Best to buy a Gearwrench or Snap-On. Angle is best with angle gauge

Do you have to save the settings in the memory. Can you just set a torque setting and go?

Hi Don, You can do both. Saving the settings in memory is great if you want to continually return to that setting. Or you can just set it and use.

if the manual one is anything to go by just avoid.mine just plain has never work out of the box. Buy cheap get cheap.

I've just worked out, this doesn't measure angle if you hold the wrench upwards (ie. lying on your back). Why would you make a torque wrench that doesn't work when lying on your back?!

It's pretty lousy that Sealey don't answer anybody's queries in the comments. This tool seems to cause a lot of people problems when trying to use angle mode. It's particularly annoying for me because it's specifically what I bought the thing for!

unless the software has changed from mine all you have to do to go from angle back to torque is press the bottom right button again not power off & back on !

Hi BBS, Does this wrench work the same as the Eastwood one ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-xHJ8cdj5cf0.html the computer part looks just like it. In the vid he says its a pain not being able to just seat a torque, but having to re program a memory to get a new torque, and using the angle setting does not really work to well? whats your view on this as i was going to buy the sealey until i see the Eastwood review vid, cheers Richard.

Richard Lansdown I think the Eastwood is similar to a Clarke wrench I have without the angle function. If I want a torque without setting a preset I just track the reading on the screen.

@@sealeytools I have this wrench, the only complaint I have is when using the angle function & can't complete in one action the angle isn't stored & doesn't carry on from where left off when ratcheting, you can click up quite a few degrees taking the slack up to the next ratchet tooth to carry on the redq angle.

@@frazerguest2864 Yeah there's definitely a problem with the angle feature. Mine sometimes hangs with four dashes when you press the "light on" button to go into angle mode.

@@Kj16V : I ended up buying an AC Delco one from America for similar money, (I’m in the UK). No problems at all with the AC Delco one.
