I love the wrench. Keeps you performing work at the highest quality possible for years. The wrench will be worth almost the same price you paid 20,30,50 years from purchase date.
Just ordered my 3/8” drive. Can’t wait to use it. Our shop has the plastic handled 1, but I wanted the best of the best when I bought 1. I have used the Mac and others, but nothing beats this! Thanks Snapon!
@@mikeprice8307 I have the full set of Techangle wrenches and love them. I had 3 older Snapon Micrometer click style wrenches and decided to buy a set of Gearwrench digitals with angle..... big mistake!! couldnt stand the ratchet head and how the clunky the setup was. I sold my 1/2 and gave the 3/8 to an apprentice in my shop. Replaced the GW with the Techangles and im extremely happy.
I have the Snap-off tech20FR wrench and Strap-on wants to charge me $120 once it quit working to fix a $600 torque wrench. Its out of warranty and I have probably only used it 50 times, always stored it in the case and no batteries in it during storage.
Broj 1, Yes, Snap-on electronic torque wrenches are the most versatile and accurate torque instruments because they operate by means of an internal electronic strain gauge with digital readout. Electronic torque wrenches have a torque accuracy of +/- 2% clockwise, +/- 3% counterclockwise from 20% to 100% of full scale. Micrometer (click-style) torque wrenches have torque accuracy of +/- 4 %clockwise, +/-6% counterclockwise from 20% to 100% of full scale. Our electronic torque wrenches have four alert modes (LCD, Dual LED, Audible & Vibration) which enable the user to slow down as they get closer to desired torque levels, thus reducing the likelihood of over-torquing (which is commonly found when using micrometer/click wrenches). If USB downloadable data, programming capability and a rugged all-metal body are desired, please consider the ControlTech (CTECH) models that Snap-on has to offer. +Emmanuel Mata There is no need to manipulate any programming of the wrench as long as the extension used extends straight out of the square drive - regardless of the length (i.e. the measurement of the mid-point of the handle to the middle of the square drive stays intact when any length hand extension is used).
