I will never forget meeting him, he reached his hand around the covid barrier to hold mine and just stared into my eyes as I told him how much his portrayal of Samwise meant to me. He's truly so lovely, and holding his hand was amazing
He's also known for being a narcissist, and if I'm correct is obsessive compulsive with severe anxiety issues that manifest themselves into him having rage fits on prior sets. Not to mention, towards the end of shooting LOTR, he caused issues using his position as Leverage. He's actually supposedly a pain in the ass. I have a friend who works in Hollywood and is pretty high up in a large production company, he has told me stories that would change your mind about a lot of "modern movie stars"
To be more precise, they are considered grown ups at the age of 33. Exactly the age Frodo reaches in the beginning of the movies, since Bilbos birthday is also Frodos birthday. Most Hobbits are told to reach 90 - 110 years of age, but Bilbo is an exception, since he held the ring for like 50 years. He was 131 when the movies ended.
If you believe the many worlds theory and alternative timelines, there's a timeline where you did become an actor. Both one's where you succeeded and one's where you didn't and did something else...
That's quite amazing, I would love to know how you get to a fantasy world. Normally we need to either pretend or get really stoned to even come close to getting to a "fantasy world" 🤣
frodo and samwises' relationship was based upon a commissioned officer and his personal servant know as an orderly or batman, and the closeness the two would often have. it's a wonderful concept.
Movies based on "The Hobbit or There and Back Again." J.R.R. Tolkien's films are my favorites. Number one is the "John Wick" series. Warm greetings to all the actors and creators of both series. MB
Imagine if Dubois somehow manages to beat AJ and Usyk re-unifies in a rematch with Dubois and Usyk retires having beaten AJ, Fury, and Dubois twice each.
I adapted LOR for the first three films. I let Sam Wise Gamgee emulate me and Frodo emulate Steve Spielberg as we worked diligently on the McGovern Campaign in 1972 in Dallas, Texas. Thus Sam's part expanded a lot for this film. I couldn't be happier with these two guys' performances. They did a perfect job.
@@olahisawsome It's a pretty obnoxious fallacy and completely turns what Tolkien was trying to achieve on its face. This kind of immature joke is as old as the hills and just not even remotely funny. But there is a quintessential response to this childish tripe. "Those who could not conceive a friendship as a substantive love but only as a disguise or elaboration of Eros betray the fact that they have never had a friend." - C.S. Lewis.
Sean had the Goonies and Rudy that he played in that solidied his ability to dive in character. Plus both movies are staples of fan love. Elijah was in Deep Impact (a copycat attempt at Michael Bay's Armageddon) that Mimi Leder created to compete with Jerry Bruckheimer. Plus Elijah overacted/over dramatized his Frodo character almost to the point of Brokeback Mountain. Elijah would also be confused with Lucas Haas all the time by everyone. I love them both for creating a moralistic movie that a moralistic man wrote and another moralistic man directed. Tolkien & Jackson created positive believers in good overcoming insurmountable odds not with miracles but with comraderry fueled by hope.
This has nothing to do with the actors, but I will ALWAYS hate Peter Jackson's misinterpretation of the "shards of Narsil". 🤔🤨🤷🤦🤦🙄👎 He must have just skimmed through the books, not really READING them.
LOL. Funny, he says he was 18. It's in the appedices to the films. He's said for years. In fact, he says he celebrated his 18th birthday in New Zealand.
