A true story: When "The Rock" finished shooting, the studio held a cast & crew party on Alcatraz. A SCUBA diver wearing a dry-suit surfaced at the dock on Alcatraz attempting to crash the party, and was immediately taken into custody by security guards. When the party crasher took off his dry-suit, he was wearing a tuxedo underneath... just like James Bond did in a movie. Sean Connery happened to see this and was so impressed, he told security guards the guy was now his guest & drank with the diver for the rest of the night.
@@martin..3700 lol he didnt beat women, he thought it was merited if the woman was crazed or out of her mind, it's an old way of thinking for certain, and a way I don't condone in the least, but to say he beat women due to a hypothetical question asked is reaching a bit, a question asked of him several times over the decades.
1,7 million pounds to be exact. He gave it to the special talent acedemy, that he founded. For young scotish actors, writers etc. who are in the same position as he was, to kickstart them. Look up some yt. videos for evidence.
I've been saying for years that he should be a villain in a James Bond Movie. He was the best James Bond ever and would be the greatest James Bond Villain if he ever was one.
..and a shout out for Jay Leno too. What a good guy. I sent him a car book for his collection a few years ago - and he called me up personally to thank me. I think it's no surprise that Sean Connery - later into his career - would do appearances on Leno and Dame Edna (ie Barry Humphries) but very few others. Sir Sean was clearly a man who had zero tolerance for anyone who wasn't the real deal. An excellent quality for anyone to have - superstar or mere mortal.
Well, he sure deserved it after 50 years of hard, memorable work. And he particularly decided to retire because The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen was a nightmare to shoot and had a major impact on his decision to retire. It gave him an idea of how movies would be made from now on and that he wasn't on board with those new standards at all.
Sir Connery thank you for the Bond years! You will always be Bond! I tolerated Roger, for two reasons, he used to be the Saint, and there was no other choice lol. Also let us not forget that Mr. Connery has done many other motion pictures, that were outstanding in their own right, and had nothing to do with the James Bond franchise.
so if u saw a pic of julius caesar today - would u say - "wow, julius caesar looks great for 2009"? fuckin hell - the retardation of humans never ceases to amuse me...
I really wish he would have done another movie after The League. That was such a terrible note to go out on. Probably too late now seeing as he is almost 90, but hell Clint Eastwood is still acting. I'd love to see him have a cameo in the new James Bond movie.
2000 : 70 year old Sean Connery shaking hands to random people and living 20 more years 2020 : young people afraid to walk too close to each other, wearing masks and washing their hands 70 times per day
When I first started learning Scot, the instructor said it was absolutely imperative to get your tongue around Pussy Galore.....that night I was arrested.
He was the classic bond for me, suave, classy and rough at same time. Leno when excited had a very whiny fast annoying voice lol. I prefer him now in his garage show
