It is - and rightfully so - by more than a few surveys, considered the greatest (movie) nude scene ever. I remember back in the days of VHS - in fact, I believe they even mentioned this in that show, I Love The ‘80’s - that the tracking was always screwed up on the tape at her scene because of the continuous Pause & Rewind.

Fast Times is easily one of the top 10 movies of all time for me but I feel a little sad that I get the impression that some actors from my favorite movies don't share my love for the movie. I can't blame them for feeling the way they do; I just wish they loved the movie as much as I did. Anyway, for me, Fast Times is gold. There are so many scenes, so many lines that I'll never forget. Last but definitely not least, seeing Phoebe Cates come out of that swimming pool! WOW! I may end up with dementia but even then, I'll remember THAT scene! Ha!

@@fromthehaven94 Judge Reinhold was the biggest star and solid career the first decade after the film. After The Santa Clause, I can't recall any movie he's been in off the top of my head. I am retired military and while stationed in Germany we had one channel. I watched this movie so many times on VCR. My son was born in 1980. He went off to U of Colorado in 1998. His Freshman year the first weekend of school there was a big promotion, party, etc... radio stations, retail stores, things like that. My son told me after, there was a DJ who was asking all Fast Times trivia questions (for prizes) and HE, my son, was the only one raising his hand to answer. He said he knew the answer to every question. Lol

Enjoy life cuz it sure goes by quick. My friends and I were 13/14 in 1981 at the movies seeing Taps with Sean, Tom Cruise, and an under-rated actor named Timothy Hutton. Hutton and Sean were and probably still are good friends outside of acting. Then I saw Fast Times at the movies with my best buddy, and Bad Boys with my mom, while my sis watched the Outsiders in the next theater. (She couldn't see Bad Boys with us cuz it was R rated). Bad Boys especially at the time was a pretty heavy movie with a heavy feel, and I'd bet money that Sean Penn really was and is a pretty tough guy! That was 1983, 35 yrs ago. I was 15 then and 50 now.
