Sears Suburban SS14 charging system. In the video I talk about the steps i took to figure out my garden tractor charging system . The key switch would intermittently make contact between the B battery terminal and the A , accessory post on the key switch . I replaced key switch still not charging . I then removed wires and cleaned the connections ,, Still no charging . I then removed the starter gen and bench tested . I reinstalled the starter generator and replaced voltage with what i thought was a good used one . Still the garden tractor charging system was not charging . So i then started the garden tractor ran at over half throttle and hooked a wire to the field terminal , touched wire to ground while watching a voltage meter connected to the battery terminals . Jumping the field wire to ground would make it start charging so i knew the voltage regulator was bad on the sears suburban ss14 garden tractor . wtbm123 , garden tractor repair .
