People like this man right here ARE music. Plays because he loves to, sings because he feels the music. No make up, no fake shit, nothing but a man, his guitar, his voice and his love for music. His guitar is ragged but he plays it like it's worth $4500. Awesome, i would love to jam with this guy. Seems very sincere.

I saw him live in Mangawhai Tavern in New Zealand in 2010 and it was hands down one of the nicest shows I've ever been to! Every couple songs he would come down into the crowd to shake hands and give hugs then he'd hop back up on stage and tell stories before getting back into the music. It was really clear he was absolutely delighted to be there and we were all having so much fun it was like your best friend putting on a show just for you in your back garden

I just started playing guitar, and I bought a 1000 dollars guitar so it will sound good, but watching steve makes me ashamed, cause he can play that beautiful sound with old guitar and only 3 strings

+5555555lowmen Just find the guitar and music that fits you and use it, is my advice. Looks like Steve did just that (though he _does_ use multiple guitars he has a theme going on) and I can think of a few more guitarists who did this sort of thing: Johnny Ramone - Mosrite Ventures II (Slab Body) (most of the time) Chris Ballew - Two String Guitar (Used as Bass in the same octave as the guitar which is tuned in drop C#) Mark Sandman - Two-String Slide Bass (He Inspired Chris) Ricky H Wilson (Original B-52's guitarist) - Usually but not exclusively used Mosrite guitars, often with four or five strings.

It's going strong right now. Check out all the guys doing similar stuff on Cigar Box Guitars. Steve inspired me to start building them and learning the roots style along with regular 6 string. I can't play well yet, but I have a lot of fun. Shane Speal and Justin Johnson are sweet players. RL Burnside has passed on, but he's great.

i used to fish farm ponds near a railway when i was a kid. heres a recipe for bread an old hobo passed to me. 1.5 cup of flour,1tsp of bake powder, pinch of salt. mix it up. add 1 cup of warm milk and stir it up but dont over do it. pour it in a lightly oiled skillet and spread it out with a spoon (should look like a big pancake). brown both sides your done. make some homemade bacon/milk gravy and youll have the finest B&G youve ever tasted
