Viserys walking into the halls, to save his daughter one last time, is the most epic scene. Goosebumps as you feel so sorry for him, yet his presence is so powerful. Hats off to paddy who played him.
When Viserys walked through the door, I started crying. He was literally falling apart, but he heard his daughter beg for his help so he mustered everything that he had left in him to do so. You just see the immediate relief wash over Rhaenyra just by seeing him there. He’s not the best King, but he loves Rhaenyra so much, has always supported her happiness and would do anything for her, and Paddy's performance really touched my heart today.
He didn’t care about rest of his kids he only considered her as her only child that is awful he divided the family more and ignored hundred years of customs and made it seem his will was law . Remember Robert Baratheon also named Ned stark as Lord Protector but Cersie said “we have a new king “ same thing gonna happen here.
@@ayanumar3757 It is because he Loved Aema Aryan... The lady hightower never and ever stand in his side and Decisions. Alicent may not be a bad one, but his father is an venomous bastard.
Viserys coming into that throne room was the highlight of the episode for me. That alone was deserving of an emmy. Ironically King Viserys' strongest moment was when he was literally at his weakest. That walk to the throne room you know had to be the longest walk of his life but he did it for his daughter because she needed her daddy and he showed up.
Episode 8 was insanely sad. Everything Viserys wanted was for his family to be happy and united. Even in his dying breaths, this was his only desire. And even still, it breaks apart immediately as he is the only thing that held it together.
As a book fan, I feel the depth that Paddy Considine and the writers gave to King Viserys was the most rewarding gift of them all. What a stunning role and performance. I truly hope Paddy wins all the awards possible.
Paddy Considine did an amazing performance as King Viserys. I applaud his acting in this series. He will be missed. That being said i will also miss his character Viserys. I dont care if people say he was a weak king, he was a Targaryen who’s coin landed on the good side. He was a good person and such a caring father to Rhaenyra, he truly loved his daughter and protected her.
@@jdlrposh if Viserys had told the truth by removing the inheritance from her daughter, a war for the succession of the throne would have been unleashed. and as king jaehaerys said "only one thing could destroy the dragon dynasty. The dynasty itself"
I think the Dance of Dragons really shows how fragile the Targaryen rule was to begin with. Viserys would always be remembered as the King who's decisions ultimately lead to the death of all the dragons, but it was bound to happen at some point. Aegon the conqueror will always be famed for taking over Westeros, but that was the easy job. Actually maintaining rule and passing it to future heirs is the hardest part of the Game of Thrones.
@@w.a.s5819 He was a great politician that united the realm. He was a flawed husband and a pretty bad father tho which led to his houses own avoidable problems. Aegon is actually remembered as the King who killed off the dragons tho. Fair or not. His moniker of Dragons bane was what ppl remembered. Succession isn’t a problem most of the time. But if you’re a weaker king and don’t firmly establish your succession then it makes sense that ppl will put up their own claims for the throne. The realm had a great counsel who’s decision set precedent that woman cannot inherit. So assigning a female heir is going to cause a divide. Many Lords who supported Viserys to his face have no problem siding w/ a male heir if he’s willing to reward them w/ more lands, titles, favor. Viserys choice of Rhaenyra when the Counsel chose him over Rhaenys was terrible politically for him.
@w.a.s5819 Personally I feel Aegon I was the best king of the dynasty. Jaehaerys great as he was in his own right had the luxury of being backed by some of the most powerful lords in lore and most his main enemies being crushed thanks to Maegor's scorched earth policy.
That moment of Viserys dropping the crown and Daemon picking it up and helping him onto the throne was the most emotional moment this season with huge difference 😭
That shows that Daemon cared more about his brother than the throne. Back then it just makes clear that Daemon did what he did because he wanted his brother attention, like a childish way.
It was a good moment between them despite there disagreements when it came down to it those two still looked out for each other. It was sad to see viserys like that he was a good man and a good king who only wanted his family to be together.
Those who stood by their dying fathers know that Paddy's portrayal was so amazing and believable that it broke our hearts. I know it did mine, it brought back all the memories of my father being eaten alive by cancer. He deserves all the awards on this earth
I am sorry about your dad. I was crying the entire time with Visery´s scenes. The portrayal was so real and human and it also reminded me of seeing cancer take away my own dad. Paddy knock it out of the park with his performance.
Your comment touched me, lost my father to brain cancer and I think that is one of the reasons I was so emotional this episode. Those lucid moments that we want to share in the end
It reminded me a lot of my own father's last weeks. He died on March 10th, 2022, four days after his 83rd birthday. He had dementia, leukemia, and a heart condition possibly caused by side effects of the leukemia medication. He also hit his head during two really bad falls the week before. After the second fall he was barely conscious and did not speak more than single syllable words, but Viserys here reminds me a lot of my father in the time between those two falls, when the in-home-hospice nurses first started administering Morphine (basically milk of the poppy) to keep him calm. He had some more lucid moments during that time, especially compared with the extreme agitation of the prior couple weeks when he would wake me up screaming every couple hours and usually have no idea why once I came to check on him.
I felt the same way. My dad died last year and I was so overwhelmed with emotion during this episode. I was telling myself that my dad went hard for me just like Viserys did for Rhaenyra.
I spent a day in a Hospice with a patient I'd worked with for over a year, he passed away 2 days ago and Paddy's death scene hit me hard. It was an absolutely perfect rendition of someone's final moments. If that man doesn't win awards for this show then a crime has been committed. Absolutely perfect acting. Matt too.
I was thinking tha same. Never have i ever seen on screen depicting the tragedy and realness of the illness and death in such way. I suffered like Vyseris could be my granpa.
Honestly, what literally made me cry the most: When Daemon helped Viserys up the stairs in the throne room, I instantly started crying. It was the first real time we got to see them together where they weren't fighting, or hating each other, where they realized that life is fleeting, and Viserys deserved a not a consort to the king, but a brother in that moment. The other time I cried was when Viserys got but a few fleeting moments of what he thought would be his families finally getting along and turning a new leaf. And knowing the horrors that fell the Valeryons and the Targareyns (I never spell their name right), makes all the more sadder.
I wanted this validation 😪 Bawled my eyes when when looked up to see it was his wayward brother, finally come home. Was feeling silly because I got so emotional
That last supper scene gave me tears! My dad passed away last year. Prior to his death we celebrated his birthday. He had this happy, blissful, and contented expression same way that Viserys had in his last supper. I forever have that memory in my mind and I never thought I'll saw it on TV through Viserys. I was tearing up the whole time, making me remember my dad. Kudos to Paddy!
Oh man I’m so sorry for your loss. I lost my dad a few months ago to cancer - I moved abroad to be with my fiancé last year, so I related to Rhaenyra’s shock after coming home and seeing Viserys like that. Watching the walk to the throne felt like watching my dad fight on to live long enough to see me get married (at least virtually, if not in person), knowing he didn’t have much time left. An Emmy for Paddy is in order, such a visceral, beautiful performance.
I cannot stress enough how much Paddy Considine HAS to get an Emmy. I'm gonna be mourning Viserys for a while. What an amazing character. Credit to both Paddy and the writers for giving so much more character to Viserys' character compared to his one-dimensional book counterpart.
I believe this is exactly what GRRM was referring to when mentioning Paddy's performance. Graceful and impacting acting that complimented the already superb writing.
I honestly almost cried when king health’s deteriorated, he is indeed a king to remember, and also daemon helping his brother with the stairs and putting the crown on top of his head as well was heart touching. reminds me of my dad when I helped walk and stuff when he had cancerous tumor who just passed away recently in June this year. RIP father you will always be remembered and thanks for the memories and being kind to me.
Paddy Considine as King Viserys was simply amazing! I couldn't imagine anyone else playing this role. The scene where he showed up at the throne room unexpectedly floored me. The love he bore his daughter was fierce and powerful, and I think an extension of the neverending love he held for his true love Aemma. Even on his deathbed, he showed up for Rhaenyra. I think Daemon gained a new respect for Viserys during this scene. After once calling him a weak king, Daemon now began to understand the mental and emotional strength it took to hold a kingdom together. It took more than just brute strength. Viserys mental strength gave him physical strength at a time when no normal human being would have such strength. Daemon could only acknowledge this side of his brother that he never knew. I think he was amazed by it. It was very sad to see Viserys go. I hope Paddy is nominated and wins an award for his performance as King Viserys. This was definitely a tv royalty performance!
he was a horrible father to his other children . and earning respect from murderous petty tyrant daemon is not something to boast about. but paddy considine did a great award worthy job.
That throne room scene was such a masterpiece. It depicted so many subtle nuances. Especially between Daemon and Viserys. Daemon helping him up the last few stairs and placing the crown upon his head shows that despite their differences, Daemon was always true to his brother and his family. Then almost immediately followed by Vaemond's act of treason and Viserys drawing the blade to have Daemon serving as an extension of his hand deliver the swing. Also symbolizing that Daemon was always meant to be hand of the king for Viserys and that he needed somebody who can make the hard choices for him. Viserys' biggest mistake was casting out his brother. All Daemon said to him back in E01 was the truth.
so true, daemon should have been by his side from the beginning. also when he asked for permission to marry rhaenyra, it was the best decision. I loved laenor but he wasn't meant to be rhae's husband, not because of romantic reasons but politically too. he is the reason that rhaenyra facing with problems about her kids right now. If only king could listen Daemon from the beginning. still with his flaws and wrong decisions I love Viserys, he did what he thought the best
Indeed the court scene in episode 8 is a big reference to episode 1 where Viserys cast away Daemon. Had he chosen to believe his brother instead of his hand, things would be different. Viserys never had the power to make tough choices, Daemon could do that for him. Chasing away any threat to the dynasty. In that moment Viserys cut his hand by the throne. Had Daemon remained as his hand, he could save him even from himself.
Paddy Considine was an absolute BEAST the first 7 episodes but his performance in episode 8 was otherwordly. That scene with him and Emma in the room made me cry like a baby. Changing the character of Viserys meant taking a risk with many of the book readers in the audience but when I say I could have seen no one else play him, I mean it. His depth and humanity, his love for his daughter, the resentment he carried over what happed with Aemma, his conflicting feelings towards his brother and cousin. Hope to see this man be recognised for the immense work he's done. The entire cast haven't let me down one bit and I'm enjoying the show just as much as I did the early seasons of GOT, from the music to the acting, the cinematography, the foreshadowing, the humor... Brilliant work from everyone involved (I'll let those beach scenes slide this once). I can't believe we are only two weeks away from the drought lol perhaps we could get Snow in between seasons of HOTD??🙏🏼
Bruh I cried like a baby when Rhaenyra went to her dad and asked him to defend her and her children. As a papa's girl if I was ever afraid or in trouble, I'd run to my dad to protect me.
Give Paddy all the awards immediately. His performance was beyond amazing. Emotional, powerful. Amazing! The whole cast is flawless, but man Paddy, another lever!
I know everyone talks about Paddys performance (rightfully, well done), but can we appreciate the music played during the most intense and heartwarming scenes? Many of them fit for the scenes perfectly, Ramin is a genius.
I've read the books, so I know how it plays out later on - but seeing Aemond's smirk disappear when Daemon stood infront of him was epic. Fantastic episode, doing the story justice so far!
Going back and rewatching GoT season 1, Aemond is everything Viserys III thought *he* was. It really highlights just how weak and petulant Viserys III was.
@@abloodsplatteredhalo I rewatched GoT about 5 weeks ago, first time watching it through since S8. I totally get what you mean, he was all talk - didn't seem strong in any sense.
they both are too similar, they both adore one another yet feel threatened by each other Aemond is the younger version of Daemond, and they both are on the opposing sides lol even their names are anagram to each other
The dinner scene once Jace and Halaena started dancing with music in the back, viserys watching his family altogether for the very last time was just beautiful. I knew right then that this is the most beautiful show I’ve ever seen.
I lost my father three years ago to cancer. Needless to say, Paddy's performance as Viserys during his final hours struck me hard. Kudos to Paddy and the writers!
i relate to this a lot. it felt so familiar. that one last day of energy to give something to his family. i know its just a tv show, but it was almost painfully parallel to my experience with my mom (also 3 yrs ago). i am sure you have a similar experience, im so sorry, i wish you the best.
Paddy deserves an Emmy for this performance. He will be missed. He encapsulated exactly what King Viserys should be like. Not the best king, but the right man for the job at the moment. You can see the pain and suffering the division of the House has caused throughout his demise.
Never would I have thought that a simple thing like a man entering a room could bring me so much to tears! 😥 R.I.P Viserys and all awards to Paddy Considine!

Aemond has the biggest glow up ever. His appearance is so appealing and badass that when he walk past Daemon, you can feel the tension that this two are gonna get the biggest brawl of the life time
It will be interesting to see which "version" of history the writers canonize when these two dragons fight. Also. I think if the producers of the Harry Potter series had made Draco more like Aemond and less like Jon Snow... that would have been bad-ass.
@@Official_KC I'm sure he will, alot of the GOT stars got dozens of big roles after it aired for about 3 years. All the cast in both shows were above professional in their performances, even the kids and considering how Paddy did, I'd say he opened the door big time.
Oh please, he only helped his brother now that he’s in line for the throne and needs his help…and what Daemon did to Vaemond is just awful…striking him from behind like a coward! Daemon is just as despicable as before, he just hides it a bit better now.
I cried a lot more in this episode than I expected. Viserys wasn’t a perfect king and he made foolish choices sometimes but he was a good one and he tried his hardest to juggle the duties of King and father and brother to the best of his abilities. He had a genuinely good heart. I wept when he hobbled into the throne room like that, all to settle the squabbles himself but I think he mainly did it for Rhaenyra. Paddy did a fabulous job on his whole performance and I applaud him.
A good men and heart makes you not automatically a good king. His actions as a father, grandfather and brother were always guided by emotions, but as a king he should have reacted differently - in many ways. He was actually just as resistant to advice as Joffrey Baratheon.
I don't know why he ONLY supports Rheanyra He has TWO sons.. which by Tradition, should be king after him.. why does he still want a woman to be queen (something that has never happened before) When named Rhaenyra as hier and supported her Bastards kids, he UNKNOWINGLY started the dance of the dragons because Not everyone will agree to it
@@goodmimosa8040 Yes, he could have changed the line of succession. Even after the Dance of the Dragons, this is applied to all-male heirs to the throne, regardless of whether an older daughter is present. But let's face it: Aegon - the eldest son - wasn't born to rule (he's very reminiscent of Joffrey Baratheon). Aemond might still be able - but that would be just as stressful. Since Aemond reminds me too much of Daemon and nobody wanted him as heir to the throne (at least not Otto). I can understand Viserys wanting to keep his promise. Does that make him a good king? No! He should have done things differently years ago in terms of succession to the throne, and he could have removed Rhaenyra - who is at odds with her destiny as heir to the throne - as heir and appointed Aegon. That would most likely have saved a lot of suffering.
Book Viserys was some fat dude who only laughed and drank and smiled. I am so glad that they changed Viserys into a king who deeply cares for his family and the honor of his house
My utmost respect to the guy who said "THIS IS SEIZURE! IT IS TREASON, AT THE LEAST!!!" He's probably going to die or be imprisoned, at the least, but that's what makes him so brave. He said the truth even when he knew there would be consequences.
@@MrBruh-fz8or Vaemond just wanted driftmark. With Laena's daughters betrothed to Rhaeneyra's sons he has no right to lead House Velaryon. He was a second son envious and power hungry from the start. Even on the stepstones he wanted to mutiny against his brother and the Prince.
I would add Rhaenyra actresses both as well. And to be honest, the entire casting has been on point. Even Alicent makes you understand her motives (which is why they say truth is relative) although she's simply wrong in the grand scheme of things and will cause a storm which will last for too much time, until another VIserys, from the same bloodline, will make a final order and bring peace and prosperity to the realm for ages until shit goes south again with Mad King.
Yeah he's a bit of a terrible father and king especially when you consider he has 3 other kids he completely ignores so he can spoil his favorite. Remember when his one son lost an eye and he cared about an insult directed towards his favorite more than his son losing an eye. He's a monster.
@@davidgreen3001 No Rhaenyra's mother was his only true love, he would never let his only child with her fade into obscurity by being married off to a lesser house, his other children were only born out duty, he does care for them.
@@davidgreen3001 lol Aemond deserved it, he was the first one who made a bold move trying to smash a rock on rhaenyra's children. Viserys may be a weak leader but not a bad father. As so many have already said it, he truly deserves to win the Emmy for his portrayal of Viserys. Another thing, that might just be my opinion: although Ramin Djawadi's work is always exceptional, this was the first episode since the pilot where the music really came through for me. Easily my favourite episode of the season.
I believe that when Viserys is talking to Alicent thinking he's actually talking to Rhaenyra, when he mentions the prince that was promised and says "it is you", he's sinking into a prophetic dream and actually seeing Daenerys(thinking it's Rhaenyra, in the prophecy)...
Many in UK who've seen Paddy Considine in British shows will know what an incredible actor he is. It's wonderful seeing him get international recognition.
It used to be that anyone who saw Paddy in Dead Man Shoes would rave about him as an actor. Now, it seems, anyone who has saw House of The Dragon, will rave about him as an actor. Paddy to the Emmy: "You're fookin there, mate"
Viserys's love towards his family was so strong to mitigate the huge tensions during the dinner scene. Paddy Considine's acting performance was truly outstanding, you could perceive his soul leaving his body till his last breath. Anyway the show keeps getting better and better and waiting for the next episode keeps getting harder and harder.
The death of the king is the most beautiful death scene I have ever scene. ( Beautiful as cinematographed, the way acting was done, the way screenplay was written, it feels authentic. ) It did remind me of death of my father due to cancer in hospital. He used to talk about my future in those last days, try to spend lot time with me. Try to enjoy small things though they were big for me. And i still remember those last few minutes of him asking me to take care of myself and just after few minutes suddenly he passed away. There's something beautiful in death too. I really hope I make him happy with the time I spent with him during those last days. I miss Him.
Paddy Considine absolutely broke my heart through-out. His performance has been amazing and this episode just brew it out the park. I never rewind when doing a first watch but tonight I had to rewind and watch his scene again where he gives his speech at his diner.
As a fan who just finished GOT few weeks ago, I must say House Of Dragon is peak game of thrones and its been increasing in quality per episode. What a amazing episode. The raspy breathing and acting all throughout the episode was breathtaking! Daemon had an epic kill and even cute moment with his brother. Truly amazing.
Do you not notice a big difference in the quality of dialogues between the first 4 seasons of got and house of the dragon? Dont get me wrong. I really like hotd but its doesn't reach the levels of peak game of thrones. Game of thrones was more well written and more suspenseful But obviously its better than seasons 5-8 of game of thrones
@@jimmichalop2330 GOT seasons 1-4 was definitely peak, and it may be too early to say it's at that level yet, however it's getting close. I think it will reach it by the end of the season or by the next season. HOTD is written entirely differently bookwise than GOT, which switches from so many perspectives. I think HOTD is very close in under a season. I understand what you mean though.
Daemon truly loved hes brother, what he did in that small moment, helping him up the throne, that was the love he bare for his brother, the love that he never spoke or shoe all hes life, but always carying it
I swear, seeing that look of wonder, happiness and sadness on Vis's face while watching his family enjoy themselves in his prescence one last time almost had me in tears. Paddy left his mark indelibly on the show and I'll miss him. It's ironic how this single death would nearly destroy his bloodline tho. Can't wait to see.
Man, I have seen many climaxes but trust me The entry of Viserys and the announcement give chills to spine and Daemon helping him to the throne was the cherry on Cake. A true Dragon.
I fucking loved the scene soon before the heath of viserys collapse he saw his family get along together.I think he deserved that ending,he died knowing everything is resolved in the family
Viserys nearly climbing to the throne just to show his absolute support for his daughter and her son’s claim to Driftmark, that was wholesome! This scene broke my heart but he’s such a good dad showing up for his daughter 😭 And then when Viserys stood up to take Vaemond’s tongue, the “don’t worry brother I got this” and head slicing were 🤌🏻 Daemon has always loved his brother and I'm glad they made this scene. Phenomenal casting throughout the season. The strength of Matt Smith’s acting without words, coupled with good writing to create the scene = brilliant. Daemon was portrayed as tender and loving, and yet fierce and dangerous. Wonderful character arc building in this episode. "My Love......" 😭💔😭 Poor Viserys!! His life was truly a tragic one and he loved his first wife and daughter to the very end. Paddy Considine put so much heart into Viserys and truly made us care about him.....well done!! 👏👏👏 LONG LIVE THE KING!! 👑
Paddy Considine blew us all away with his performance. King Viserys will forever be a timeless character due to his love for his family and legacy. The way he defended his daughter and tried to bring peace to his family at dinner was so emotional.
I love the scene when Rhaenyra plea her father help. It touched me deeply. She was losing her father and she was so lost, she cannot get mad for her father to name her heir and put her in difficult situation (dividing the realm) and at the same time having to carry the prophesy. Such a burden. For the first time, i respect Rhaenyra. People who don’t empathise her calling her a whore just makes me ill.
You can tell when Viserys refused the poppy drink he was going to do something. But when he walked in and sat on the iron throne to stop all the bullshit, I was like he is a baaad man. Hats off King Viserys! You played your part to the highest end! Just epic!
Notice that this is the only time he sits the Throne and isn’t shown to bleed. We know the Throne seems to punish bad decisions and weak rulers, so that was a nice touch to show he was in the right this time.
episode 8 was marvellous, in this one they made us connect so deeply with the characters, the story and the whole series, the intentions without the ambition and what could have been without miscommunication. And wow Paddy Considine was amazing, as a protective father and brother, no words. I did cry not only because 1 thing, if not for the whole episode. It´s such a shame what happens next. Bravo HOD
I'm not going to lie when the king entered the throne room it was so emotional it shows the extent of what a parent would do for their child it's demonstrated unconditional love. Throughout all his pain and suffering he's still hurt the Cry of his daughter and stood up there to protect her. It shows you throughout life circumstances we all get so caught up into our own selves but in the end the most important thing is family. He did amazing performance it almost made me tear up. Also when his daughter was talking to her about her burden and it was a hard one to carry it made me forecast about it was never meant for you to bear in the first place it was meant for Daenerys. But she had the fight for her place to even give the Daenerys to implant a dream but if you want something you have to fight for it to help her believe that anything is possible. In the same for the queen who when she was having a discussion with her cousin it just showed me that this is what her life could have unfolded to. It was just the perv acting all around
All I was saying is if the king daughter didn't go through what she went through the fight for what she believed to be right to be Queen and the queen wasn't didn't go through what she went through they never would have been a legacy for Daenerys to thrive to become Queen
I guess the makers of this learned nothing from the finale of GOT but every episode takes place in the dark.......it's like they're doing it on purpose........turn the fkin lights up!
Paddy Considine and the writers crafted such an immensely powerful arc and depiction of Viserys. My memory of him in the book and how he's remarked of is mostly of his constant mistakes, living in the shadow of Jaehaerys I, and perhaps the wrong person for the throne. And between the performance and the writing of Viserys in the show, we see that's hardly the case, not even the whole picture. Viserys was incredibly strong of will. Him walking into the court was chilling, and Considine's performance gives so much weight to that. Viserys had an unseen strength of character that's so damn difficult to depict -- but Considine does. It's really incredible work and I think puts HotD firmly in its own column, with its own merits separate from GoT.
When Daemon helped King Viserys to his throne and picking up his crown, I feel at that moment that Otto was not the true hand but all along it was Daemon, he was the true hand in a sense
@@Sweetpotatoeee yeah see i know that Otto planned this all out, he wanted Alicent to marry the King so that Aegon will be King. But more importantly is that Otto would have power, that was his full motive, he wants the Hightower's to rule not the Targaryens
@@fartfacemuldoon5657 the complexities of a character are often lost on you, aren't they? But I shall not judge too harsh, after all, your name is Fart Face
@@paradox9369 The fact that Daemon loved his brother was revealed in episode 2 when he cautioned Corlys Velaryon: "I will speak of my brother as I wish, you may not". But he did not respect him at all. His antics demonstrated it, down to openly courting Rhaenyra at her own wedding feast. I'm not buying this romanticised version of Daemon people are pushing. All his actions point to him being an actual psychopath... including the brutal murder of his wife (later joking about it), and his propensity to giggle at the macabre. Not only would it be inconsistent with the GoT universe, but I don't believe the writers would be so sloppy as to try to redeem such a morally bereft character with a few token gestures.
Loving how all the important and significant characters of episode 9 are being hidden as hooded or distant figures, really keeps the mystery alive of who’s done what and what’s going to happen! I loved episode 8, definitely the emotionally and overall strongest episode yet, and it’s crazy to think that a show centred around a family of dragon riders can create such an insanely powerful episode that contains zero dragons! Really is reminiscent of Game of Thrones season 1! Can’t wait for this episode, the season finale and all the seasons to come ❤️
But that's the point surely. If they communicated with their children more and better, the legacy would be better protected. The same goes for the Conciliator as well, if you've read the book.
Thing is viserys loved rhae more he even caled her my only child last episode with such balant favoritisme it's only natural for the family to not get along viserys was a good man but he failed as both a king and a father
@@kikima258 yup, agreed. Idc whether rhae is his only child w aemma. He is the father of three more children and he has never favored them the way he did w rhaenyra
it gave me goosebumps when Viserys walked in to the Throne room and when Daemon came to help him that scene left me with teary eyes, this was such an emotional episode. This show keep getting better and better I love it.
@@ruddyalexandersamboygomez5337 I've been doing just fine mate. The show's become a pretty simplistic good guys vs bad guys story. It's clear that the show is written to make the audience side with one side over the other. Argument: Where the fuck is Daeron? The most sympathetic Greens character? They've cut him from the show completely because that would disturb their good vs bad narrative.
@@GoTfan-eb8tk Did GoT season 1 also not set it up as good guys vs bad guys? Did you not hate the lannisters, littlefinger etc, and root for the starks, jon snow, Dany etc?
Well I never really like Daenerys. Robb and Jon always came off as too self-righteous, Sansa was unberable, Arya's a creepy sociopath and Catelyn's just mean. If they've cut Daeron, that's the nail in the coffin.
