The wholesome feelings the show is giving them already takes me back to when I first started MHA

They're never very clear about it, but Deku's dad is still alive. His name is Hisashi, he works abroad, and has a fire-based quirk.

Just so you guys know the police guy wasn’t the 4th friend of all might, all the heroes at the school know that All Might has a weakened form, the 4 people he mentioned before are the only people who know how his quirk works, it being One for All.

A helpful word of advice: Do not let anyone else tell you how to feel about this story in particular. My Hero does have some very vocal haters, and of course you can always make an argument about which seasons are stronger or weaker than the others. But as an example, just this last week I watched another reaction channel (Lett's React) finish up season 5, which is often referred to as the weakest season. At the end of the reaction, they responded to some questions from their viewers, one of them asking what they thought of this "weakest" season. They both responded that they actually really enjoyed it, and made the comment that just because something is considered to be the "least great" doesn't make it "bad." Going in with the expectation that something is going to be bad can oftentimes make the experience worse cause you're hyper aware of it, you know? I want you guys to have the best experience possible. As a manga reader, I can affirm that the anime team make some really wonky decisions with pacing, but that's about it. A lot of anime only's who don't know the source material didn't particularly have a problem with it. Oh, and the part of season 4 that some people don't like is also a HUGE hit with other parts of the fandom. It would be a big shame if you were unable to connect with it in the way those fans were because you went in expecting it to be bad. Based on what I've seen on your channel thus far, it seems like the kind of thing you would like. Just remember that there is NO SUCH THING as a filler arc in My Hero Academia. Even when it looks like they're just doing some slice of life stuff, it will inevitably be important later. Hmm, you know what, I'm gonna include my comment on the last reaction here too, since it seems relevant and I understand if you don't check the comments on videos once a new one comes out: I want to make sure you guys know that My Hero DOES definitely break down shonen tropes. Not sure where you're hearing that it doesn't, but I can think of many times just off the top of my head when fans assumed what was going to happen next based on shonen tropes and were shocked when the plot went in a different direction instead. That's true of the earlier seasons all the way up til the end. I will say that it definitely doesn't break down tropes in the same way that some other modern shonen like jjk do; instead, they both take the shonen stock plots and go in different creative directions with it. You know what I mean? I guess my point of all this is just to have a good time and don't let anyone else tell you how you should feel about this show. For some reason there's a lot of people out there that just REALLY like trying to ruin this show for people, like to the extreme. I've been in a couple situations where reactors were expressing how much they liked a certain part of the story that someone in the comments/chat didn't, and they spent SO MUCH energy trying to convince them to hate in instead!!! I've even seen shit like that play out in real life. I don't get it, and I'm super tired of it. This is a fantastic series with beautiful, nuanced worldbuilding and characters that will inevitably both make you cry and jump for joy. There's a reason why it's such a big name in anime, and it's because it's masterful in so many ways, some of which you've already seen. So just kickback and relax, and don't worry about what anyone else says.

Don't listen to the people that tell you season 4 and 5 are bad. There are some great rewarding moments throughout those seasons. The way y'all have connected with the characters already, you will still enjoy those seasons. Seasons 2 and 3 are just top tier that's all.

I'm not sure why people told you that S4 was weaker. The tone gets more mature while also still expanding on the show's core values. Folks are right about S5 😂. It's necessary setup for the greatness of 6 and 7, but it was the Covid season and you can tell.

seasons 1 to 3 were wonderful. season 4 was also really good, a lot of people were upset with season 5 but i do think you can enjoy it a bit more than others if you really love the characters!! and season 6 and 7 are both amazing, season 7 is still airing and its going to be even better as it airs. my personal favorite was season 3 with 6 and 7 as a close second though! and i can't wait for your reaction to them!! 😊

Season 4 (aside from seasons 6 and 7) is my favorite season!! It's INCREDIBLE. It made me fall in love with MHA even more and is my personal favorite. I think it only gets better and goes up from season 1. I have absolute favorite anime moments in each season to be honest. I understand why people say season 5 is "weak", but I think the first half is just slower. I'm confident your love for it will continue to grow with each season.

You know what, I’m just gonna say it, all the seasons rock. 5 is good on its own merits with a weakness of being made during Covid so it was arranged weird but the setups there pay off strong the rest of the show. I haven’t been disappointed in the show yet, there’s no dip it’s hype one season after another.

If you did not notice there were 2 voices coming from the TV the unnamed Master and a second in command Shigiraki does not know as much about One For All as we do so he is not going to just understand that Deku has the power he just knows this kid reminds him of the hero he hates.

People saying season 4 is weak are just hating on the 2nd half. The first half is fantastic.

Season 4 and 5 are still good. If you're invested in the show they'll be plenty enjoyable. It became pretty noticeable they were siphoning resources for movies, and struggling with deadlines, but it never becomes bad.

I would like to recommend some animes to watch like Kaiju no.8, alya sometimes speak in russian to hide her feelings or that time i turned into a slime. All Might's English VA Chris Sabat also ships All Might and Deku's mom. He also jokes that the dad is living in the apartment but is in another room watching TV and does not come out to talk to school stuff. Unless he is joking about All Might getting rid of the dad so he can get with mom.

Cool fact that isnt elaborated on until later but homie with the tail quirk was all alone in his area and survived being outnumbered by doing hit and run attacks. Pretty under rated character

I loved all the seasons. I was more of a critic with no entertainment and no plot. I did not know what people were talking about 4 or 5 maybe they thought they were kinda slow or just fillers. I did not care about animation even with Haikyuu lol didn’t notice the difference until I watched it again. As long as it was entertaining it was good enough for me.

I’m sure tons of people have said this on your patreon and RU-vid but nobody besides All Might and his inner circle (perhaps) knows about the origin of Deku’s ability. To most others he’s just another strength type quirk.

For the My Hero (mvp) segment, can it be like a group of people for some? Like imo the mvp for this episode for me are the teachers of UA. The thing to remember about Mineta is that he's a literal teenager. It would be different if he was a 30 year old and making the jokes, but he's just a kid. People tend to treat it like he's a full-grown adult and forget it's a show about teens for teens. Having said all that, people are allowed to dislike him still.

According to side materials, Tsukauchi originally found out the truth about All Might's form and power because of his own quirk, which allows him to know instantly when people are lying to him.

Personally, season 4 is my favorite season, but i think, for the most part, people need to not say things like that and just let the reactors react.

I don’t think any season has been “bad”. I do agree the early seasons are the best. It feels like author kind of lost his way a bit with how to proceed but no season has been “bad” exactly. At least… not what’s been adapted so far. My biggest fear is season 8 since I know how the series concludes in the manga… I think a lot of the vocal haters recently have been coming from that. But I actually really enjoyed season 5 for what it’s worth so 🤷‍♂️ it’s still a great show. I think the early seasons being the best can be said for any show. (Except masterpieces like avatar but shows like that are pretty rare) I’m very much enjoying your reactions and you’re right, you’ll be invested by season 4 anyway

Don't listen to reviews because based on what you told us you will love this show. There are 3 reasons people don't like show. 1. People hate Deku and find him annoying, obviously not the case for you guys. 2. The pacing on some arcs could have been longer while other arcs could have been shorter. 3. But the main reason is that people see this as too generic of Shonen show to be special or good. The fact that you love that it is as a Shonen show elements I would have no worries about liking the later season.

Honestly, I love all the seasons, so obviously I think season 4 and 5 are both great. They're not my favorite seasons, but season 4 has a few of my absolute favorite moments in the show and season 5 has great stuff too, especially in the 2nd half. I would say 5 is probably the weakest, maybe, but weakest doesn't equal bad. I think and hope that since you guys love the characters so much already, that you're gonna get to seasons 4 & 5 and not understand what people were talking about. Both season 6 and 7 are fantastic, imo.
