I've decided to play mid but realized most streamers are top-jungle players and I don't know any good midlane content creator. And I was recommended your channel. And now I really appreciate your content! Your manner of discussion, arguments. The way you explain the difference between 'meta champs for a patch', best 'blind' picks, best for specific elo, best for smurfing - everything is so well served! Thank you
I feel like you really underrated tristana considering how mechanically simple she is, how well she scales, how op split pushing in low elo is, she also auto farms, probably the easiest ad mid
Disagree tbh, I think even though her skills are mechanically simple it's really easy to be useless with her (failing to snowball, jumping in at the wrong times). I also think just being an ADC is actually pretty difficult for low elo players since you're squishy and have to kite
@ShokLeague Couldn't agree more. I used to pocket pick her on smurf accounts cause she's faceroll in lane, but i find it extremely hard once mid/late game comes to have a lot of impact. Even in gold which I can roflstomp with most ap mids, I feel pretty useless once grouping starts unless I have a Frontline with engage.
Hey shok, have you thought about making playlists on your channel to seperate content like improvement guide playlists // unranked to master playlist etc. Would help a lot to find a specific type of content
@@ShokLeague We're they private b4 because when I clicked on the playlist tab I didn't see any before and now I do. I was asking because I saw a recommended playlist made by you for the fundamentals one day watching one of your vids but couldn't find it again in the playlist tab on the channel when I wanted to go back to watch more. But now I see multiple playlists that's great! Gonna watch more :)
Would love to add to the unranked to master series some S tier picks like brand, swain, vex, etc. Just to see your thoughts in this champs like you did with ahri🙌
Lately I've been playing almost exclusively with kayle, 90 percent on top, but I also play her at mid sometimes and I found that at mid kayle is a much easier version of kassadin if somebody prefers the "I completely take over the game after lvl 16" style. She gives you the same hyperscaling late game fantasy experience as kassadin, but after lvl 6 She's much easier and safer to play at lane, and while in teamfights kassadin requires you to be very good at flanking and using your ult properly, kayle requires you to learn defensive backline positioning and also using ult at correct times, which is much more easier in my opinion, but that's (backline safe positioning) actually one of my strenghts so maybe I'm wrong:)
any chance you can make a Annie guide ? I know she is simple, but how to get to the "carry" stage or more useful, how to go about the laneing phase etc.
Based on my experience, I would rate roaming champions higher in general. No matter how good gank setup you have on mid, your jungler won't gank you. If you are always having prio and ready to follow up on early game objective, your jungler just goes to farm some gromp on the opposite side. You provide perfect vision from mid side 24/7, but your bot lane just never looks at the map. Of course no one is going to win their own lane, you have to go at every lane yourself and win it for them.
Can somewhat agree with not receiving as many ganks as you should, but I disagree a lot with "no one is going to win their own lane". Generally you don't want to roam to losing lanes anyway, plus your team is still going to win their lanes 50% of the time
High plat low diamond brand one trick - I recommend comet over electrocute in most match ups. Your burns can proc it on cool down pretty much in lane, and with liandries you can proc it twice just from how long the burn last.
What do you think of Zyra mid? (she used to be quite popular mid) I took a long break and used to be plat + and started playing her mid again to fuck with people and I've been finding quite some success especially due to the burn items. I was wondering if you forgot her or you simply think she is absolutely terrible mid and if you could articulate it? Also would definitely love to see you Brand too. It's one of those heroes you never really mentioned till now and it would be fun to see you whip out a hero you've never rly put time in and showcase it into your series. As straight up Brand lover I would love to see the lane difference in playing in gold for me these days and you in Masters +
She's probably a fine mid laner, I imagine she doesn't really do anything better than some of the stronger mids though? Like if you can play brand why would you play Zyra for e.g. (other than you just really like her) And yea I'll try play some brand!
@@ShokLeague I suppose that makes sense, though the seeds with the burn items and rylais often put myself in similar dmg numbers like brand which surprises me, had multiple 60k+ dmg games on her and brand and her E range is not to be underestimated, but yea brand right now is definitely better and I am VERY much looking forward to compare your brand style to mine, thank you!
I find funny that as a Plat this season I feel unbeatable on azir (champ is broken) but since the everfrost removal I can't really feel good on Ahri (I've been playing both champions since season 12)
Hey man, appreciate what you're doing rly much, even if you don't enjoy smurfing as you said earlier. What do you think about Lucian mid now? I know it's been a meta for a long time ago, but what about now? Is he mainly ADC nowadays?
I have a question on the Azir vs Zed matchup. From what I know, I think Azir should try to keep the wave in the middle, but in Chovy Azir replay, I saw him crashing every wave and harass Zed under his tower and Zed never do anything about it. My question is how can Chovy do that without getting all in by Zed.
Well you want to push while Zed is weak (first 3 waves) and then after that if you have a huge hp lead you can either freeze and setup for a kill, or pin him to his tower and look to force him into a bad base. If you don't have a big enough health lead you can just let it come to the middle
im in silver, i frequently win high stakes customs games with my friends in high plat low diamond, i main top and mid but cant seem to get out, what am i doing wrong?
I am an adc main that did not play for a while and now trying to learn mid, I pretty much only play le blanc and orianna and barely got a 50 winrate, now I picked up tristana and am just gliding with 88% winrate, wonder if I am just abusing my former skills on lower elos or that the other champs are just more difficult lol
how do i learn my matchups, and how do i learn when i should pick which champ? can u please make a video explaining how to determine if a matchup is bad or good
ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-x2dfM3XRToc.html this video talks about matchups. For the most part though you should just prioritize champion comfort
insane insight! thank you a lot for these videos, i have 2 things to ask: 1) I'm a d1 midlane player and sometimes i smurf, do you think you can do a smurfing tier list? it would help a lot 2) Can you tell me what to pick to answer to a) Neeko, b) Hard roaming assassins(think talon, lb etc)
Neeko you gotta play either a really strong laning mage (Syndra, Ori, Vik etc) or something with a ton of sustain like Irelia. Into hard roaming assassins you either want again something strong enough to keep them in lane, or something that has the mobility + threat to kill them. I normally pick LB into most assassins, but most assassins have a couple counters specific to them for e.g. Akali = Ryze, Fizz = LeBlanc, Talon = Orianna, Katarina = Hwei. Tbh Hwei is pretty good against most assassins too now that i think about it
imo W max comet Ori is harder, you have to get a lot more out of your lane phase since you're going to scale much less and have much more difficulty in fights without having phase rush
@@ShokLeague alright, thanks for the reply. i’m curious about what you think about viktor and ekko as ranks go up as well (for context, i just came back to playing and am sitting at plat 2 for now, i only play those 4 champs in the game and even then it’s mostly just viktor and azir)
Ekko becomes harder to pull off as you get higher, mainly because the matchups become harder and harder. He's still a good counterpick though. Viktor I think is still strong, but you might start getting ganked more so you will need to be much more aware of when you are vulnerable.
Ekko is pretty similar Diana is very strong in pushing, her turret damage is just insane. Same for ekko. But if youre looking for an opposite champion i can recommend vex as an ap champ. She has a strong waveclear and engage where she can cc 5 people like diana. I can say from my own experience, that you should habe 3 champions in your pool for the midlane. The best is if they are all in the same class like assasins or mages with similar playstyle. Get 1 ap melee champ, 1 ad assasin/melee champ and 1 mage and look at you team what they need the most.
iam Akali and Ahri main iam playing this game like 3-4months (started in iron 2 now iam silver 3) i have 300gmaes on Akali in general and like 50 on Ahri should i play Ahri more?Idk but for me Ahri is harder to play XD
you can learn how to play any champ properly if you put the time in, what matters is that you play what you enjoy. if I had to recommend one over the other I would say to play Ahri, she is very good, reliable mid pick that can snowball pretty easy but also has more than enough utility to stay relevant by hitting charms if you're playing from behind.
From my experience of unranked to master I saw many more melee support as opposed to the high elo meta which is a lot of hail of blades ranged supports like ashe
lol of the 4 champs i play the highest is ekko. and im in iron. interesting video but i dont really care how hard jayce and syndra are to play properly im gonna play them anyway. Cool video tho maybe ill play one of the easier champs like brand cause y not
i can't see how kassadin is B and akali is D,she outperform him in low elo iron-gold,just from her raw damage/Qspam,there is no real need to flank when most fight are straight lines and adc are left alone, kassadin also farm much less than higher elo average 4-5cspm on a good game so he scale too late same with tristana which is basically an ad malzahar, she can afk push wave and never get punished, she will have higher cs because of E explosion/passive
Simply put Kassadin is 10x easier to play than Akali, even though Akali is stronger. Tristana is harder than people think, you have to snowball on this champ and it's very easy to throw the game by using W at the wrong time which is gonna happen a lot in lower elos
Just all in. If you back up after he combo you you end up loosing the trade. All in him first after he uses his W on the wave. And if u get hit by the combo, combo him after. If you are a mage just push the wave calmly and ward so you can harass him under turret while he looses farm. As an assasin wait till he uses his W and engage him so his E wont hit you and you win the trade. And if you are still loosin just ban him cause he is annoying in late game too.
Second wind is really OP vs Brand even on mages, other than that just gotta try move away from the wave when he goes to W it before he can E poke you off of it
