These grotesque vampire ghouls are called revenants that feed on both humans and vampires. So, for all intents and purposes, they're omnivores.

Season 1&2 are only the two half's of book 1, there are 13 books in "The Vampire Chronicles Series". 2 books in the "New Tales of the Vampires Series"(may not be added into the show). 3 books in the "Lives of the Mayfair Witches Series" the "Anne Rice's Mayfair Witches" show season 2 is planed to come out next year. Going forward with the shows they are patching togeather a new original show "Anne Rice's the Talamasca" having actors crossing over between all three shows, it looks like they are planing to make them an intresting mix.

Reading the novels: I would wait if I were you. Right now, its hard to tell exactly how they are going to handle the transition between the 1st and 2nd novel. If they keep all the novels under the umbrella of "Interview With The Vampire", then it is going to be difficult for you to know when the show has reached the end of book 1. When the show reaches the events that happen at the end of the first novel I, or someone else familiar with the novels, will let you know when you can read the first novel without spoiling the show.

Thank you for the suggestion 🥰I agree, I wanna wait to see how this season plays out before I read! Especially since it's going differently from my memories of the movie. Also someone had spoiled parts of the book to me last season and I'm trying to forget about it 😭

Love the actress that plays Claudia this season I like season 2 so far can't wait to see what's going to happen next when I am not happy to see the stat reappear at some point throughout the season

So glad to come back reacting to IWTV. Love your reactions. I hope you'll keep reacting to Episode Insider. This season the Episode Insider is really good and informative. FYI, most of the cast of IWTV are British. From the main cast, after Bailey left, only Eric is American. Except Sam who is Australian ofc.

Lestat may not be the villain you think and Louis may not be a reliable narrator. Remember, you are getting one side of the story from one perspective. With Armand entering the story it becomes even more clear that Louis has an unreliable memory.
