As many times as I have seen this Stooge short, I never caught Larry breaking up when Moe is hitting Curly with the mallet and then with Moe turning away. Great trivia piece, Rick and as always, an excellent job!

Mostly this video brings back memories of my Dad. For as far back as I remember, he would watch The Three Stooges and he would just laugh and cackle like it was the funniest thing in the world. He had them on VHS tapes and later on dvd. It wasn't unusual to go in and find him sitting there watching. Sometimes my Mom would be there watching also, but she wasn't as big a fan as my Dad was. @@johntuttle2825 Only Shemp and Curly would have been deceased then. I know, I've had celebrities I didn't even know were still around that I was surprised to hear they'd just passed. For instance, I thought Judge Wapner was dead for years after watching on People's Court in the 1980s, then I was surprised to hear he died a year or so ago at 97.

@@bethdibartolomeo2042 Curly would have lived a lot longer and not had the stroke that ended his career had not drank himself into an early grave had he not been obsessed with his appearance, not liking to have to shave his head for the act, and convincing himself that women would find him unattractive because of that, even though he was popular with them all his life. His third wife, Marion Buxbaum, was a golddigger who was only interested in his money. After the third divorce, Curly's health spiraled downhill to the point where he eventually had the stroke that ended his career.

Even though they obviously wouldn't put the actors in actual danger, you have to admire how the Stooge actors could keep their balance on those beams to make it look like they'd be toast otherwise.

@@drfalcon4102 Conreid. He made two guest appearances on Gilligan's Island as 'Wrongway Feldman', a pilot who twice landed on the island. He also narrated the 1952 Tom and Jerry short Johan Mouse.

Great vid, Rick. I always thought Moe's fall wasn't part of the script. Just goes to show how professional they were, they made a mistake but kept going. I am a huge Stooge fan and love the little things like that.

There was a later short, after Shemp took over after Curly's stroke that had all four of them (Larry, Moe, Curly and Shemp) together in a scene. I would love to see a video with some background info on that one.

Great video Rick .. the weird thing is I saw all the bloopers when I last saw this episode. In my opinion, they did a very bad job trying to covered these up compare to other episodes.
