One of the things that made Conquest so great was that he showed up immediately after Invincible War so I think waiting for Conquest for S4 would be a mistake
You're right making us wait a year or over a year for Conquest after the war would be a BIG mistake, the fans know that Conquest shows up real quick after the war ends.
@@siphosethumbaba7559 Conquest fight and Mark resolving to kill villains if nesecary to Oliver are like a perfect cap of to a season, idk why they would save that stuff for S4
The whole point of Conquest coming in the heels of The Invincible War was to not give both Mark and the Audience a moment to breath, splitting those fights between seasons misses that point
Man, just hearing you guys talk about issue 50 already sets my heart racing, I can't imagine how I'll feel when I actually watch the episode xD I think my personal hype for Mark vs Cecil is just as high as my hype for the Invincible War and Conquest, so I can't wait to see how they portray it in the show. As for the episode titles, my favorite that you guys came up with is "For all the pain you've caused!". I like how it thematically connects Powerplex to Angstrom and doubles down on Mark's ever-evolving guilt complex.
I think there's a good chance they shuffle stuff around so that we get the confrontation with Cecil and the black and blue suit in episode 1, then they structure the season around Mark being on his own, how tough it is, how dark things get, and that fact that Mark /will/ have to kill at times. Then season 4 starts with Mark killing the real Rus Livingston in the second sequid invasion, decides killing should only be a last resort, and gets back in the blue and yellow suit.
Invincible war is going to be episode 7 and then conquest is going to be episode 8 , yk keep up the hype train. And the last line said by Mark for season 3 will be him saying that if anyone poses great threat to this planet , his friends and family then he won't be hesitant to kill them .
@@mohakarora3375 I'm convinced that the entire second half of the season is Invincible War and Conquest. Splitting Conquest over 2 episodes gives the killing Eve cliffhanger a full week to breathe (and build up finale hype) while saving room for post battle fallout and a wrap up to lead us into Season 4 (mirroring the Season 1 finale with a huge fight and then half an episode dedicated to what comes after). And if Conquest is split to 2 episodes, you can bet the Invincible War is too. I see the season laid out as follows: Episode 1 - Mark's Guilt and Distrust of Cecil Episode 1 Cliffhanger - White Room Ambush Episode 2 - Issue 50 Battle w/ Cecil, Blue Suit Episode 2 Cliffhanger - Maulers' Death & Talk with Oliver Episode 3 - Powerplex, Titan/Villains, Allen/Nolan catch-up, Amber's Abuser Episode 3 Cliffhanger - Someone is watching Mark and Oliver Episode 4 - King Immortal, Robot/Amanda, More Allen/Nolan, Invincible Inc. Episode 4 Cliffhanger - Reveal of all the Evil Invincibles Episode 5 - Invincible War Part 1 Episode 5 cliffhanger - Rex's Heroic Sacrifice Episode 6 - Invincible War Part 2 Episode 6 Cliffhanger - Angstrom's escape or Sequids attacking rescue crew Episode 7 - Aftermath, Rex's funeral, Arrival of Conquest and first half of fight Episode 7 Cliffhanger - Eve's very violent death Episode 8 - Wildly brutal fight against Conquest, Eve's Resurrection and post-fight aftermath Episode 8 Cliffhanger - Montage of what is to come just like in Season 1 (Sequids, Flaxans, Viltrumites, etc )
I love "That Didn't Take Long" as a premiere title. Wish I'd thought of that one since they do love those meta winks to the wait between seasons (i.e. Principal Winslow's "some of you thought this day would never come" trailer dialogue last season). I also totally agree that some Allen and Nolan stuff is getting pulled forward to keep them involved in the season (mostly in the first half). I think Bill is underestimating how much story will be stuffed into this season. Episode 2 last season covered a TON of issues. I'm also surprised you guys think Conquest will be Season 4 or split between seasons. I think a cliffhanger mid-fight is perfect for a finale lead-in, but leaving things off on Atom Eve's "death" between seasons would be a major mistake. It leaves the season feeling unsatisfying and unfinished while also causing a lot of Atom Eve fans to tune out of Season 4. I also think we are going to get a Rex origins standalone at some point. Maybe during the season split right before Invincible War Part 1? That timing would be perfect. Anyway, I've rambled enough. Thanks for the episode and for reading my email!
I would be SHOCKED if they ended on conquest cliffhanger. I could see the season ending AFTER the fight. They always end showing the emotions post big ending fight/scene
I’m so pumped for the invincible and Cecil fall out to be animated, that and the fight between battle beast and thragg are my favorite moments in the comics
I disagree that conquest won’t happen this season ALONG side invincible war. Part of the weight of the conclusion of the invincible war is the “Oh shit, things somehow got worse” when he shows up. Earths heroes are battered, mark is exausted and a guy that Anissa hinted at arrives at the worst possible time. I think the reveal that Cecil has him chained up below ground and most importantly, that he’s alive after the fight is a much better cliff hanger. Obviously this episode was made prior to the announcement trailer, but it heavily insinuates “Mr big and bad” is on his way. There were also those leaks for character models that shows mark is in the casts from after the first fight. Its gonna happen
Not far into the podcast yet but the next podcast you’ve gotta discuss what you’d want to see in the post credits of each episode for like issue spotlight
Yep, same with “It’s About Time”, “Where I Really Come From”, and “I Thought You Were Stronger”! I think that can work as long as it’s not a spoiler, or takes away the impact when the line is said. -Ryan
