Blubber must regret his decisions when the Pleythru fans arrive in his comments Also I think that adventures have possibly delayed to edit the content line up a little bit to make the adventures 'intertwined' with the content. It would be cool if A Dark Deception dropped alongside a mid season update related to it, but I think that it could hit hard if it dropped alongside season ten and from then onwards every adventure is directly related to a update to the game such as a voyage or world event. It would be cool but it's gonna be a long wait.
The bait-radial became accessible via the fishing rod when you're not fishing and pressing right-click. Previously the radial was only reachable via the main radial (same thing they did for song swaps with the music instruments)
I think when they were talking about the bait radial I believe the addition in question is a hotkey to go straight from holding the fishing rod -> having the bait radial instead of pulling up the normal radial and pressing a button to get to the bait one. Afaik this is a one step change that I otherwise wouldnt have noticed but hey, maybe the dedicated fishermen out there can get some seconds back from it?

I think Ray’s point about new cosmetics releases as ever-green content is great. I would love to have unlocked to the new barnacle set or todays order of souls cosmetics, but I already have all the commendations done so it’s just log in and purchase or just usually ignore. Not only would I have more fun completing new commendations to unlock things, I would also have a more organic way to unlock my milestones because the 300 treasuries need to get done yet there’s no incentive because I already completed those commendations. Given new commendations for new cosmetics every month would keep me progressing.
Man I wished Season 8 had a cinematic trailer. I would’ve had it feature the main crew from the shores of gold/pirate life/and new legends trailers… and had half the crew join reapers. The other two watch their friends silhouettes transform into skeletons… and are terrified and flee. Then they join athena, and the two ships come out of the water, facing off… and one of the Athena pirates sheds a tear, knowing what they must do… Oh at the start we’d see the Ferryman summon both Flameheart and Ramsay to a meeting place- where he would’ve given them the hourglasses to decide who rules the sea of thieves forever. Giving context to the bloody season.

I’m not going to lie, I have surprisingly enjoyed season 8 + 9 compared to the previous seasons. (Except 1 and 2, they were great) I can’t help but think the resources spent on these seasons while the adventures have been paused have been significantly better. The outcome in the season overall has been far superior in my opinion. I would not be a posed to permanently stopping adventures for these better seasons. My play style didn’t really care for the lore based adventures anyways. Not saying there’s no place for them, but for the way my crew and I play, we just don’t care for them anywhere near as much as the recent seasons. Really feels like the season 2 days again or pre seasons sea of thieves. More active crews participating in world events and engaging with each other, whether that be fighting or helping each other. Just that organic, jump in and get into some adventure type of feel again, and I’m loving it haha 😂
I'm glad you are enjoying it! 😄 Can't say the first seasons are among my favourites but they did have content that we are still engaging with and that's not always true with every season. Also, as far as I know, the adventure team is its own separate team.... so...... maybe they really are working on something big now.
The thing is red sea running was done out of frustration because you can't defend your ship from someone 5 time better than you which is a very common experience for new players and the chaser is eventually going to catch up but I do think it was a good edition to stop it because those red sea runners into getting better at pvp or quitting even if it is frustrating as a former red sea runner that started the game in later season eight as a solo slooper (which I still am) the one thing I think they really need to fix for those former red sea runners is season 8 pvp matches me with people with there level 100 curese wile I'm level 5 I haven't one a single mach out of the ten I played 8 of those matches were against people over level 100.
The bait radial thing was that you can access with right click instead of going to the radial menu and then pressing 'R' to access it. It's a tiny QOL but didn't really need to be in the trailer honestly
21:43 Ray is wrong here. It wasn't just about the bait radial in general, it was about the ability of accessing it by holding your fishing rod and pressing right click, just like the addition they have made of accessing shanties the same way when you are holding an instrument. I don't remember how they said it in the trailer so maybe they have worded it wrong and that's why Ray misunderstood it but there has been made a new addition of the radial being accessible easily when you are holding your fishing rod.
Thanks for clearing that up. I always love reading it when my co-host is wrong. Just tested it myself and I will probably use it from now on. And I feel this also means the Fishing Rod won't get a second feature like the Speaking Trumpet did.

If only seasons could just be like year 1. New, season-sized updates every other month and Bilge Rat Adventure to fill the month off. Now with only THEEE seasons a year and 1/3 of the content is a few minor changes. It’s very disappointing, especially compared to Rare at their best in year 1. There’s no reason why these changes couldn’t be spread throughout the monthly updates.
Yes. Can confirm both me and Ray feel the same way. I hoped we got new golden sailor or legendary cosmetics and we got none of that. The dorky thing turned out to be the big V on Golden Sands. Which I liked, and I'm glad I took my picture with Ray, but still..... we were all hoping on more.

I think we should only have the decision point adventures once in a while, bc the regular adventures make sot feel more like a job imo and I don't like this.
@@captainblubber I prefer more tools for the sandbox like the reaper rowboats. I don't want many more tall tales in the game bc they extend its size and imo the sandbox tools make it way more fun.
