What a time we live in when a Seat Cupra does 0 to 60 in 4.9s. A few years ago, that was supercar territory.

I think this will be seen as a golden age of motoring. The choice is amazing and you can buy second hand cars reasonably. For keen drivers like me, who grew up with fiestas with engines like hair dryers, its been worth waiting for. There is a slight sense of the end of an era, with petrol fading away slowly, so enjoy it while you can! ( if you can keep your licence, im on three points now, better calm down.)

Real world prices, this will be thousands less than the Golf. Don’t be a badge snob, Seats are 99% VW for less money.

nah. Everything in the Seat interior feels cheap, undampened. Just sit in a VW Golf and then a Leon backtoback. Night and day

the interior quality is so insultingly low rent on SEAT. I drove a VW and Seat back to back and it is really noticeable. Nice drive though

I have driven the ibiza hatchback and ST now for some years and if the leon is ANYthing like that, its the one car for me. I have never felt so relaxed while on the highway and on the small roads, its super fun.

A great all rounder. A serious consideration. I prefer AWD to cope with any road conditions, ive had three Subarus but I need practicality as well so this estate version is just the job, and as much as I like Subaru, the only one I like is the Outback but its a ridiculous price in the UK. I could get one of these used for about 20k, a bargain. A good relaxing mile eater, no groaning or straining up long steep hills. Nice.

Excellent review. Thank you. Stuck between Octavia SEL and Leon ST FR. The Cupra step up but nice insight. Always seems to be the drab interior with Seat. If they could up the game there they could really crush the opposition. Btw comments below cut the boorish sexist comments. Really is pathetic. Let’s concentrate on the review male or female.

Sto79Be To be fair sitting in both Ateca and Leon gets you thinking, a follow up to a Skoda garage though and it’s the finish. Your right seat does look more youthful but it’s just not as nice place to be. Would consider a seat next though.

4drive takes away the point of a cupra. It's USP is that it's more raw than a golf. It should be incomparable to the golf in terms of perfomance.

advertised as 300hp but actually only has 295, my friend recently bought the hatchback version and it is a very nice car

only lol, watch some dyno tests and u will see its actually more, like 320 or so, I have 265 hp version and it has much more than that, 0-60 under 6 sec and 272 km/h for max speed... very close to limited cupra r version, which costs 14k more than mine model xD

g00dfeeling with a 1.6 engine and not rear independent suspension, I don't think so. Also 225 vs 300hp, fwd vs awd.... The 308 sw is a joke.

g00dfeeling the 308 design is not innovative at all. The most boring of the peugeot range. Nothing special about it. And the interior is not fit for every person. The wheel, the location of the clocks, not handle controls for the climate unit... Not good at all.

g00dfeeling call me when peugeot sells an estate than can match a cupra st 300. Never. And, are you saying that peugeot has... Class? Good clothes and shoes? Hahaha, come on. Peugeot is cheap french average brand. Nothing premium or luxury about it. Don't be pretentious with a peugeot man.
