Sir great video. In my new alloy mtb the steel seat post 27.2 was well tight with quick release.but after riding for soem time to my surprise the seat is moving and quick release was at its place. Also seta post has some white powder on it. Please tell be how to fix this as I am not able to find fiber grip or something like that. I have normal grease and wd 40.
white powder probably means oxidation from the aluminum frame. If your seatpost actually started to feel loser, it means there's actual wear on the inside of the frame causing the post to slide. Especially since you state the clamp stayed the same. You can't fix that, because you can't add material to your frame obviously. If my assumption is correct my advice would be to clean your bike more often, especially after you've ridden in wet conditions. Also make sure you grease the inside of the frame to prevent further oxidation.
The real cause of slipping seat posts are poor inadequate design of modern bikes !!!! A "old fashioned" lugged seat tube is the strongest most reliable way to clamp a seat post in place
I think ALOT of new bikes - especially e-bikes that don't cost upwards of $2500.00 all seem to have a chinsy seat post clamp that's mage to frustrate the crap out of you!! Most - if not all stock seatpost clamps are mass produced by the use of a 3-D printer - a few splatters of paint to make the clamp look EXQUISITE 😜
