Yes! Psycholinguistics. In The Peer Movement we say, "I am a person who lives with (diagnosis)," instead of, "I have (diagnosis)." It seems a bit verbally clumsy at first, sure. It serves to remind us in a quietly powerful way that we are more than our diagnoses. Narrative is everything.
I think it’s much easier to judge others when it’s not happening to us , until we are judged for what is socially acceptable such as parking tickets and ghosting ppl who love you ! We won’t understand how hard it is for those we cast away because they happened to be a result of consequences of circumstances and environments
