till this day the best transformation luffy ever had. i like to compare it to sage mode from naruto, which is my favourite naruto transformation. I love the simplicity of both transformations. No Baryon or Gear 5 comes close to this imo.

Gear 5 is way better. Gear 2 is basically base form, but Luffy is faster. That's it. Gear 5 is more creative than anything Luffy has ever done in the series. Gear 5 is literally freedom itself.

That’s fair. For me, Katakuri was the first fight for Luffy I felt had the same creativity and hype of Enies Lobby. As much as I did like gear fourth’s introduction, Doflamingo never felt worthy of it compared to Snake Man’s introduction.

In my opinion this moment is still so hype compared to everything else because it's so "out there" compared to what he'd shown us before. Using the elasticity of your body to pump your blood so fast you heat up and get enhanced performance? I didn't expect that at all and it's super creative.

This has the same energy as a comment made by Schaffrilas Productions about Tai Lung in Kung Fu Panda 1. “He flung this hammer guy in the air, and in the 10 seconds it takes for that guy to fall, Tai Lung beats up 10 other guys.
