Hi Liam it’s Keith or Chas from yesterday at the club. Was great to meet you and have a chat and a laugh and love the video. Think there should be more laughter in golf and if you see me play you’ll understand why. 😁 Hope you enjoyed the three holes you played yesterday and thank you for being so complementary about them, also thank you for showing golfers how to replace their divots even on the tee. At Great Lever we Chas and Dave are a small part of a group of volunteers who support our Head Greenkeeper and greens team. Will be good to see you when you come back later in the year and buy you a pint. Just to clarify not quite 75 yet but getting there. 😂😂 👍👍👍
@@GolfMates need to get down on a Friday afternoon, #thefridaythrash. Anyone with a valid handicap can join the 10 hole roll up, £2 a man (plus your 10 hole course fee which won't be much more than you paid this time). Winner takes all + food and a pint after.
Tees are the one place where divots are not replaced normally. You can apply a sand/soil mix. This was shown on a golf rules video, might be something about stopping someone teeing after you and not realising they are on A divot. But there is a contradiction in looking after the course I think k and just applying sand/soils seed mix
Love this kind of behind the scenes stuff Liam 😂..You could have your own reality show fella 😂..Wish we could see more of club house chat, pro shop chat, and a bit more than just the golf by not just you but a lot of RU-vidrs..Keep up the good work fella love the content old gouty 😂👍
After going to a wedding in Atherton, I had an interesting conversation when I wanted to play that course as to whether they'd allow me to play in ma kilt. I did eventually persuade them & numerous members across the course wanted photos of a lunatic in January playing in a kilt!
Liam not sure about the Shameless Jacket but the Shoes and tight pants need to be seen at Wigan Casino for a bit of Northern Soul. I loved the video so funny.Think you need to sell the 8 iron to eBay Pete as he is always up for a bargain. If you can make it back in the Summer we love to do a scramble 3 holes for a fiver. Thanks for visiting Great Lever and Farnworth GC you are welcome back anytime. The special 2 for 1 offer £1200 (£600 each ) finishes Tuesday 30/4/2024.Keep up the good work regards to OMP my hero.
I'd love to watch a weekly Nick the Greek Break 100 Challenge with club fitting and lessons. SCENARIO: Nick is relatively new to golf and enjoys bashing a few with the boys and tipping a few back. He who could be fitted to budget "game improvement" clubs in these tough economic times. He could learn correct swing habits from Dave. Viewers can track his progress and make fun of him. jk. Cheers from Canada!
Liam this was a great vid, funniest one ive seen in awhile mate. Looking forward to Mondays video with Mr B and OMP and your well deserved club announcement.
Totally brilliant Liam you are so funny ,I really enjoy your pick up lines I am going to use a few tonight. Love the dance moves,God bless mate.❤❤❤❤😂😂😂😂
Great video! The first set of Dunlop irons you picked up were 1962 Peter Thomson, Contour Sole, Dunlop's top of the line clubs back then! You should have bought those. The Jean Donald Personal came out around 1956, a ladies club.
Class mate, the first hole you played there I’ve lost my ball over the hedge on the right numerous times. Live in Aus now can’t wait to get back to play
Brilliant! That was really entertaining and ALSO shows that you don't need £££ kit or clubs or courses to have great golf fun. Very nice Liam and Nick (or Nic) the Greek. Nic(k) should show up more... !
Once again, brilliant content Liam, laughed all the way through it. I did a very similar thing when I was in Orlando once, decided I couldn't live without my fix of golf so ended up purchasing a hotch potch set of clubs from a pawn shop for $15, then drove about until I found an arrive and drive course, one of my overriding memories was of the slipper and cracked grips so know where you were coming from with that 3 iron shot.
Great video guys, nice to see Nik as well, good to see others from behind the scenes as they contribute so much to the channel in their own way. What’s skysports Joe up to these days? Is he still with you?
Wowzer golf on Plodder Lane 😊your best challenge yet. Great to meet the greenkeepers so I must call in for s chat when next passing. The apparel just the beeze knees but get some spikes on those bad boys😂as for that politian grip better in Westminster 😮
11:45 when the camera goes up, all I can think of is rodney from only fools and horses lmao brilliant video liam also love the fact you had the budget of £40 and dressed like that, then pulled out your shotscope watch, brilliant lol
Liam mate. Please tell me you were joking mate. Pro Simmon golf clubs were top of the linen 50 yrs ago. They were wonderful and were played by the most wealthy golfers at the most prestigious golf clubs. Now the way you pronounced "INERTIA". Classic. I love you mate. Thank you for a wonderful video. Loved it.
I haven't made a comment for awhile, but I had to say loved this video with old golf clubs. we have been spoilt with new tech and this is a real test of skill, well done mate.
I think you have Jimmy Tarbuck and Jimmy Krankie mixed up!! 🤣🤣 Fandabbydozey! those kegs are tight pal!! should have had an over 18's only warning at the start of the video! 😁🤣
Hi Liam - excellent - one of the best videos you've put out for ages - extremely entertaining and not a single mention of Carus Green - refreshing content mate 😊
Hey Liam, you do look like a model in those clothes, where you in the littlewoods catalog form the 80ies 😂😂. You can take the boy out of oldham but you can never take the oldham out of the boy. Good fun guys 😂😂🏌️♂️🇨🇦
Very funny video, lads, really laughed out loud a few times 👏 Those balls were brilliant, I used to play with them 😀 Need to see Nick break 100 video also, Patrick will guide him round 👍
That was funny well done Liam even though you looked like a page form a 70's catalogue and Liam I definitely don't want them shoes 🤣🤣🤣well done mate belter video as always 👍
Jean Macalister Donald (married name Anderson; 2 May 1921 - 16 May 1984) was a Scottish golfer. She won the Scottish Women's Amateur Championship three times and played in the Curtis Cup in 1948, 1950 and 1952. She turned professional at the start of 1954 following a change in the rules regarding amateur status. Also YSLs aren't cheap.. their standard trainer shoes can sell from $700-1000. It's pretty silly.
Hi Liam, I can sympathise that you have Gout terribly painful, I used to suffer from it a lot my Doctor put me on a daily tablet to prevent it and after 2 years it hasn’t come back, hopefully your Doctor will prescribe the same medication
My mother once told me, "If you can't say anything nice" , don't say anything" hahahah Cracking video Liam, had a good laugh Keep it up, & thanks for the offer, but i don't want your shoes hahahaha & yes i would love to see Nic have a lesson
Of course you will get a par! I was going to say I would get those shoes as well - just so I could tell my wife I had something Louis Vuitton before she did. Then I thought about the long term cost of that joke. 😳 … dodged a bullet there! 😅
Loved the vid... and love the idea of Nick getting a few lessons, but why not make it a series.... Say 1 lesson a month, and a game before his next lesson so we can see how he progresses... would be interesting to see his handicap at the end of the season following lessons from Dave, OMP etc.. though I would suggest that both he and you first get a lesson from the fashion police....🤭🤭🤭
