@@TheRealBWA your welcome we have a video on our channel of everything we use in the soil I believe it's called amending the soil for growing Giant Marconi Peppers 👍
@@Hortolanyi. thanks for watching friend 2 years ago they were over 7 ft tall with alot bigger peppers I have the video's on our channel if your interested 👍
Thanks for this! Those pepper plants really are huge! I have not grown peppers for a few years, so my wife likes to pick up a bushel for cutting up and freezing for various recipes over the winter. Your stuffed pepper recipe sounds delicious! Klaus
@@murielmorrow4306 you will get there here's a tip I save the seeds from our largest peppers then sort through those seeds and plant the largest seeds in the spring and amend your soil before planting with lots of organic matter 👍
They look more like pepper trees with those thick woody trunks! I've only seen trunks like that from pepper plants that have been overwintered, WOW! Our giant Marconi haven't done as well for us this year size wize, but our yellow monster fruits are bigger than last year. Still, the giant Marconi fruit is decent sized, & the plants are healthy & productive going into September.
@@keyphabenyisrael3219 I tried overwintering Giant Marconi's several years ago but they all died before spring I just start fresh every year , in hindsight I should have added more calcium to the soil but I'll get that remedied this fall I will try those yellow monsters they look delicious on the seed sites I've looked at 👍
@@rosageorge2612these are the smaller ones lol , we uploaded a video on 8/5/24 titled Giant Marconi Pepper Harvest 8/5/24 that has much larger peppers we also have a playlist on our channel of our Giant Marconi Pepper Grow 2024 that shows everything we do from start to finish check it out friend it's very informative and answers all of your questions 👍
Greetings! What was your seed to harvest time line? Seed to transplant time frame? Are you in zone 5 or 6? I really enjoy your posts, and love, love, love what you did with your sweet pot, even though you would never get me to eat one, I would like to grow them. And you have shown me a new way to grow them and not growing every where , all over the place. Thank you for your time filming and posting.
@@theresamcpherson7352we were 5b but now 6a grow zone after the change this year , if you go to my channel and click the playlist tab we have a Giant Marconi Pepper Grow 2024 playlist uploaded that shows from start to harvest how we grow these there's 6 video's including this one and they are very informative check them out if your interested it shows everything you asked about and thanks for watching friend we appreciate you 👍
@@TheBzybees we will be planting our fall garlic in October we will do a video on that and harvesting our fall Yukon Gold potatoes , Sarpo Mira Container potatoes , harvesting Fall sweet potatoes in October , and harvesting our fall Ginger all will have video's thanks for watching friend 👍
I'd sincerely appreciate it if you could point me to where I can buy seeds to the same strain you have. They look outstanding. I'm curious.... how thick are the walls?
@@joealta3450 True Leaf Market , or Pepper Joe's , or Seeds n Such have the Giant Marconi pepper seeds they can all be found online .The walls are about the same thickness as a bell pepper . These peppers have a delicious sweet smokey grilled flavor when fully red and if harvested green taste just like a bell pepper thanks for watching friend 👍
Was wondering how large the root ball gets on those tall Giant Marconi pepper plants? Do you need to continue to fertilize them, or was the soil you prepared prior to planting them adequate for the entire growing season?
@@tg_ny we have fertilized twice with a water soluble Bloom fertilizer once in July once in August and will probably do again in September i will be adding more calcium to the soil next year to help with blossom end rot , as far as the root ball it varies from each individual plant , they could be grown in containers but it would need to be at least a 5 gallon bucket or larger thanks for watching 👍
