Great job on your garden and your harvests are just magnificent. thanks for sharing how you accomplish your goals. Gardening is such hard work, but the outcome is delicious.
Wow! What a beautiful harvest of delish looking potatoes!👍 You do have a bit of wrong info you mostly got from other youtubers. Green potatoes aren't toxic. You can cut the green off and eat the rest of the potato, or you can eat a few with a bit of green with non green potatoes. Green potatoes will simply give you a tummy ache; however, you have to eat a lot at one time to upset your stomach.
@@valoriegriego5212 thanks for watching and commenting friend but in 1925 two deaths were recorded from eating green potatoes because the green potatoes contain Solanine and according to Encyclopedia Britannica. Com Solanine is a neurotoxin and if ingested can cause nausea , headaches , and can lead to neurological problems or even death if enough is consumed . I just simply use my green ones as seed potatoes to avoid all of that , please make sure you cut away all of the green parts if you choose to eat them 🙏
@@gardenmike8115 I put ours in the refrigerator they usually keep for about 2 weeks before they start getting soft , we also cut up and vaccume seal and freeze them we also cut up into large pieces and dehydrate on the lowest setting ( 95 ) degrees to keep the red color 👍
@@TheRealBWA composted mulch run through chippers just like the leaf compost from our city municipality department the same place we get the leaf compost from 👍
@@rosageorge2612 when we planted in the buckets we used compost and composted leaves and composted mulch and some of our garden soil with organic tomato and vegetable granular fertilizer and when we harvested the soil was very dry because I stopped watering these containers 2 weeks before we harvested , it also helped that we are having a severe drought so that's why the soil was very loomy and dry thanks for watching 👍
They look delicious! My mother always made stuffed peppers in a similar manner when I was a kid, but she used green peppers and I didn't like them. Still don't, but I do love red peppers. I bet they would be good with taco seasoned meat, yellow rice, jack cheese and salsa!
WOW, THOSE LOOK SO GOOD!! I did some green peppers, my green peppers r small but i was able to do some and put them in the freezer, im thinkin i need to grow some of those, mayb one plant, its just me so i wouldnt need a whole lot of them, nice 😅
@@lorii7556 ever since we put the bird bath by our tomato plants we haven't had any problems , I was told birds peck your tomatoes to get water from them so we placed the bird bath by them and now no problems with birds just horn worms they also like to eat holes into your tomatoes 👍
Wonderful Harvest. You have a beautiful garden. I have learned so much from watching your channel. I hope to have a garden this coming spring. Thank you so much for sharing!
@@lindadapp4303 I paint the outside of the buckets to help keep the sun from turning the potatoes green it works well and there's no need to paint the bottom of the buckets because I bury them in the ground thanks for watching 👍
@@fionag8869 yes we try and grow as much of our food as we can I believe it's better then what we can buy at the market and it saves us alot of money each year thanks for watching friend 👍
@@theresamcpherson7352 we put 2 seed potatoes in each container , we saved some of our potatoes from last year's harvest to use this year we originally ordered the seed potatoes from Wood Prairie Family Farm online they sell many different varieties of organic potatoes we also used the LAZYDOGFARM rebate code to save $ on our order not sure if it still works but you can search online for a rebate code to Wood Prairie Family Farm before you order thanks for watching 👍
@@luisraulmota447 do a online Google search for Giant Marconi pepper seeds they sell them from Pepper Joe's and Seeds n Such and a few other companies and they should ship to your location thanks for watching friend 👍
That is a GREAT harvest.I planted my Giant Marconi and Giant Acongagua on June 5.My plants are 3 to 4 feet tall, but are pumping out peppers.Next year they are getting planted earlier.
The red of those peppers almost glows - they're gorgeous! My 13-year old eats red peppers like apples. Are they sweet like red bell peppers? And quick question - what's growing out of the top of the white tube next to your pepper bushes?
@@vickiblizzard1001 yes they are a sweet pepper with a smokey grilled flavor and they are delicious , the 4 foot tall pipe has a Japanese long carrot growing inside I will harvest this in the fall and we're hoping it gets as long as the pipe thanks for watching friend 👍
