@@fionag8869 yes we try and grow as much of our food as we can I believe it's better then what we can buy at the market and it saves us alot of money each year thanks for watching friend 👍
Wonderful Harvest. You have a beautiful garden. I have learned so much from watching your channel. I hope to have a garden this coming spring. Thank you so much for sharing!
Wow! What a beautiful harvest of delish looking potatoes!👍 You do have a bit of wrong info you mostly got from other youtubers. Green potatoes aren't toxic. You can cut the green off and eat the rest of the potato, or you can eat a few with a bit of green with non green potatoes. Green potatoes will simply give you a tummy ache; however, you have to eat a lot at one time to upset your stomach.
@@valoriegriego5212 thanks for watching and commenting friend but in 1925 two deaths were recorded from eating green potatoes because the green potatoes contain Solanine and according to Encyclopedia Britannica. Com Solanine is a neurotoxin and if ingested can cause nausea , headaches , and can lead to neurological problems or even death if enough is consumed . I just simply use my green ones as seed potatoes to avoid all of that , please make sure you cut away all of the green parts if you choose to eat them 🙏
@@rosageorge2612 when we planted in the buckets we used compost and composted leaves and composted mulch and some of our garden soil with organic tomato and vegetable granular fertilizer and when we harvested the soil was very dry because I stopped watering these containers 2 weeks before we harvested , it also helped that we are having a severe drought so that's why the soil was very loomy and dry thanks for watching 👍
@@lindadapp4303 I paint the outside of the buckets to help keep the sun from turning the potatoes green it works well and there's no need to paint the bottom of the buckets because I bury them in the ground thanks for watching 👍
@@theresamcpherson7352 we put 2 seed potatoes in each container , we saved some of our potatoes from last year's harvest to use this year we originally ordered the seed potatoes from Wood Prairie Family Farm online they sell many different varieties of organic potatoes we also used the LAZYDOGFARM rebate code to save $ on our order not sure if it still works but you can search online for a rebate code to Wood Prairie Family Farm before you order thanks for watching 👍
