Alfred knew, he knew he'll get killed if he wins, it was either losing his money or his life. He made the right choice, Alfred is the smart one here, he IS the smartest poker player. Maybe you won technically, but we all know who would've won if his life wasn't at stake.

Austin DMAN 22 if you like playing poker then playing poker is fun but if you wanna play a western game where you shoot bitches but you get 3 hours of cutscenes and tutorials it can be off putting

In the first Red Dead I had a poker game in Blackwater last an hour and a half real time. It was the longest most frustrating hour and a half I've ever endured. I won though so it was kind of worth it
Back when i first played the original Red Dead i had no clue how poker worked so i would always go all-in. Idk how but i won 9/10. Every match lasted like 10 minutes tops
@@cain9851 AI tends to back out after any aggressive moves unless they have a better hand. So the trick to winning is baiting the AI long enough each hand while upping your winnings while not spooking them away. It takes a lot of winning small bluffs and a few big miscalculations on the computer's part to beat high-level NPCs.
I love how they always look around when they rake in the chips, almost as if the endless days of gambling have driven them deliriously insane and they think they're playing to capacity crowds 😂

I’ve had the same thing happen, I’ve stayed up for hours, in Saint Denis, gambling, and played so long, that the luck that is supposedly out, has come back, and beat him, taken ALL my glorious money back, and then shot him in the head as a final fuck you, because I was up to 3AM in game played for 4 days straight. And finally fled the county to ambarino to hunt in the snow. That was genuinely a nice feeling winning all that cash back. Edit: I don’t even know how long I was playing, I just know it was over summer, and just refused to leave on a loss, might’ve been to 4 am
well, I wanted to play poker in the city so I did and that's was the first time I meet that leech. the first time I played with him I lost every game got so mad killed him and got chased out of town and lost even more money due to the bounty. luckily I came back and went in with 5 dollars and left with 50 flet so good to beat him.

Some days it’s Alfred for me but I hate all these AI, this game mode is absolute hell. I love playing it but the best strategy is just save b4 and reload save til the game decides not to absolutely shit on you then walk away 😤
