Having done this many times over the years, I needed a refresher, Thank you. However....MUST BE SURE TO , as you say, hold phone button down first, then OK button and wait a few seconds....I must have been doing the opposite and it was driving me nuts!!! Thank you again.
Brilliant, thanks very much for posting this video. At first I didn't hold the buttons down long enough, probably about 8 seconds before it showed the service data screen. Worked perfectly after that. Once again, thanks very much 🙂
2014 GLK350. These instructions work but... make sure your doors are closed and you might have to try multiple times from step 1. I recd the 'reset trip odo?' message 6-7 times before I was able to get to the actual service menu. I'm not sure what worked for me in the end. I have Keyless Go and did remove the start button later and inserted the physical key to turn the ignition to position 1. Not sure if that did it, but worth a try. Guess MB is finicky. Keep trying if it doesn't work the first few times. Thanks for the post!
great video except for one thing. You cannot get the mileage to display with the key in one click position if the drivers door is open. Your doors must be closed. Then position one the key and scroll to the trip and mileage display. Hold phone button and press ok within a second. follow the video then.
Worked for me perfectly. 2014 c250 Maybe engine has to be off? I first did not get the menu, and tried with engine on and engine off. One of them all of a sudden worked
The instructions were a bit unclear so I got “reset odometer” at first, but thank you I got it to work eventually. Press and hold the call button alone, and within a second, press and hold the okay button so you are now pressing and holding both buttons. Then it worked for me.
Thank you, for this video! It worked for me, although I had to try a few times and follow the instructions very carefully. For reference, I have a 2014 Mercedes SLK 250.
I used your video after I had a B service done. Thanks, very helpful Ps...the garage forgot to reset service indicator, hence your video being so helpful. Thanks again.
we've had our c-class 200 for an year now and barely have used it within that time (only ran it about 1500 kms) and we got the 20 day reminder. is it important to still do the service B or are we ok on just resetting the service date? Thanks
The thumbs down must be from dealers and mechanics who don't want you to know how to do this. My sister's E550 has only been driven about 500 miles in 2 years due to COVID. So I was able to get rid of this annoying message every time she drives.
Thank you very much for your detailed instruction. It works! My wife is a happier person now, that makes my life easier too :-) Mine is a 2015 C240 model.
2013 c250 says remove key & won't show the mileage because of it. Tried it with remove key on the screen but it didn't do anything. (Update: close the car door!) Continue to hold the buttons to get that mode.
Thanks, how do I input info on missed record of services. Services 1,2,3 and 5 were recorded but 4,6 &7 were missed . I have all the receipts and paper record of all services.
Unfortunately this doesn't work on 2013 CLS 250 (x218) shooting brake. When following these instructions the display enters "Trip reset" yes or no. Thanks anyway.
my secret menu never showed up, ive tried so many times and so many videos. is there any trick to it? all that pops up in asking to reset my trip odometer
I followed this but would not allow me to reset. I went to "Assyst plus" but it just shows the screen saying "Service A over 5100 miles". How do I get out of that screen?
Have 2012 e350 coupe. Tried this many times. Did not work. With mileage displayed Only reset display was for resetting mileage. In 10 tries could never get display as shown in video to reset full service 😢
My car won’t start now. I reset it because it was 430 days over. But I haven’t driven in two years. Just wanted to clear the message. But now it just clicks and won’t start when I turn ignition
