When you raise people to be just a gradually aging kids mentally, is this that surprising that all they are capable of producing is crude and primitive?
With all the money spent on the show, they just couldn't fathom paying the actual artists, so they went for using AI generated abomination for the opening.
It makes sense if you think about how they treat teams of actual effects artists. At least the AI is meant for working with vague suggestions and starting over from scratch.
This show had such potential. Unfortunately, Feige trusted his horrible writers, his terrible directors and his angry cast to create something watchable.
If Marvel wanted a complex thriller, they should have brought back Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely to write it. They wrote the screenplay for Winter Soldier, which shows Nick Fury at his best.
I think they should have done the route of case by case basis IE there are good Skrulls but also Bad Skrulls and the same applies to the Kree instead of one of the laziest metaphors I’ve seen in a modern film!
@@henrygambles3652The Kree are actually the main reason the Skrulls invades Earth in the comics and they basically forced the Skrulls into a war they never wanted
@@lancekemal8989 In the Comics it was because Galactus ate their home world and Veranke manipulated them! From every comic I’ve read they’re treated as Both being equally good and bad though I’ve only read stories from the 70’s-2000’s
@@henrygambles3652 And the fact that in the comics they were in a War and Earth was seen as a strategic military position even before this event which makes more sense
What makes this so infuriating is that Earth's Mightiest Heroes adapted the Secret Invasion plotline a thousand times better and in a way that kept you on the edge of your seat by having you not know even which of the Avengers you could trust, as they could easily be Skrulls in disguise. That show came out 13 years ago as of me writting this comment and its still one of the best Marvel shows out there, right alongside Spectacular Spiderman. If you're a Marvel fan and are tired of the MCU going down the shitter, do yourself a favor and watch those instead.
Spectacular spider-man was fucking ass. That is a massively overrated show that was overall extremely boring. Earths mightiest heroes is significantly better and shouldn’t be compared to spectacular spider-man.
The “promise” wasn’t made by Nick Fury. It was made by Captain Mary Sue. They were in space for years and were with Danvers, helping them find a new planet and don’t even get me started on the first five minutes of episode two. My head hurts now at how stupid the writers think the audience is.
The worst part is that nick fury was unfazed in far from home, which happens to be months after endgame. He wasn’t even bothered by disappearing as the first thing he thought about was calling captain marvel This emasculated version of fury doesn’t make sense at all
@@awellculturedmanofanime1246ngl being anti lgbtq while consuming using anime as pfp with anime being a product from a country that legalize same gender marriage is very oxynomoroonic.
The show ruined the whole premise of Captain Marvel because since the Skrulls, who were the victims of mass genocide in the last film, are now being the ones who try to genocide the human race in this show, it ended up proving the Kree right for trying to wipe them out of existence.
The worst thing about the Skrulls in the MCU is by far the design and make-up. They're so damn ugly and stupidly fake. They look like Picollo from that DBZ movie.
An extension of number 4 - So they want to irradiate the world to inherit it? And get food to sustain an entire population how and from where? Why not try and make a home there? They all seem like questions that should have been asked in the writers room before filming
The secret invasion in the animated series Earth's Mightiest Heroes was fun. I highly doubt they can replicate the kind of threat the skrulls posed in the animated show.
and the skrulls there were actually smart enough to transform into people of power for example the government, SHIELD, SWORD and Hydra, even the Avengers and X-men
@@frenchdoseinthelab566 Chill. Obviously...where else would it go? I think they are sayin will it have Quality, y'know? Hawkeye was lazy ass... xmas special yawn time....will they introduce Skrulls in the same backhanded 'HHERE COMES....Samuel .J!!' Style, or fuckin pick it up and punch us out with a edgy story episode to episode....? For those still awake after Moonknight. Yawwwnnn DON'T DIG ME, I PAID FOR AND COLLECTED MORE OF THOSE COMICS SERIES THAN YOU ...tv geeks... I got every moonknight and hawkeye limited series. I can complain how boring they are you boring multiverse woke wankers. I want per episode comic action that was fun or engaging.... who doesn't?
@@frenchdoseinthelab566 Sorry, don't mean to sound rude or like a fuckin Marvel hero lol. I am actually finding this show as dissapointing as I expected, but I also expect the end of episode 7 and most of episode 8 to kick ass. Glad I don't have to pay for the comics and cross overs to finally get there like they used to milk us in the 90's per comic lol. Peace Frenchdoesblahhhhh, be well and enjoy 2023
@frenchdoseinthelab566 Nope? Millions of you don't enjoy 2023? That's no fun mate, no wonder your so strange and cold. Cheer up Bro, the show will get better too xxx
Secret Invasion should have been the film to introduce the New Avengers and reboot Marvel’s unlikable characters(She Hulk,Scarlet Witch and Carol Danvers)
The fact that they try to build sympathy by showing us there condition really works against them. In the Secret Wars comic, they are never shown, making them more menacing because you never know who or when one will strike. They also pretend to be superheros and government agents/ officials. Point is, they aren't intimidating, but what was I expecting from a D+ show?
If they absorb peoples memories wont they become sympathetic to humans? I feel like the human memories would cause them to have an emotional response to wiping out the families of the people they've captured.
I was laughing as the reasons why the plan is stupid were coming but then when you make a better plot in one sentence with the Skrulls taking over key figures like people in power and the WEF... Sounds more like stupid invasion than secret.
I absolutely love your videos 😂 so entertaining and well scripted. Side note, I think the reason why Emilia Clarke looks so thin is because she’s been unwell. She’s had two aneurysms in the span of two years and her health hasn’t recovered since then.
1:30 I fucking love the simple ass observations you have when it comes to these shows, they tear the plot to shreds but its literary something my friends and I would have figured out in fourth grade during lunch time.
4:48-4:58 that part made me laugh more then expected, but in all seriousness though I hope Emilia Clarke is doing alright especially after those brain surgeries.
Ahhhhh and I thought the series about an elderly man with one good eye trying to figure out which of the shape shifters were really human or not would be super exciting🤭
These Disney plus marvel shows are causing depression thoughts is it just me. Not what what’s worse what’s it growing up with seeing iron man in 2008 or being a kid now?
I’m trying to write my own comic book series, this video will help me improve my writing, because I need to think of good and believable backstory for my villain that is reasonable.
And its supose to Scrolls was once the largest and powerful Inter-galactic empire expanding on several galaxies but they had a civil was and still keep some of their power.
The fact that they used AI art for the intro pisses me off. Like, 1 it looks horrible, 2 pay someone to make genuine art because you are Disney and can afford it.
Reaper, you do make a compelling argument, but you forget one thing. The hacks who write this crap can't even remember their own continuity, which they break even in the same episode.
They should have done this series more like attack of the body snatchers. The Skrulls would slowly replace key people with their ultimate goal creating a a toxic virus that eliminates most of humanity, but that the Skrulls are immune to. Their motive could be that one of their technological AI programs surmised that mankind would eventually start a war that would make Earth uninhabitable. The Skrulls not wanting to perish and find another home world decide to take over earth and rule over mankind to stop as they see it, impending doom. People that find out about the plan are eliminated and/or replaced.
Don't think about it. It'll drive you crazy. He was probably a Skrull even back when him and Dr Strange were living together in London and solving crimes.
Shapeshifting is impossible unless you have about 3 books worth of explanation. Fingerprints, passwords, habits, knowledge, decision making, knowing people, knowing your family, your scent. All this information is harder to get the more important a person is, so I would like them to explain it before I can believe it and enjoy it.
Wait, if captain marvel/ Earth gave them a lightspeed engine to find a new home and they repay Earth with genocide, does that mean the Kree were right to hate skrulls????????
With how intense the villain reasonings in the MCU has become, hearing such a classic Saturday morning show villain plan to rule the world is so out of place now.
It took me 4 sessions to finally finish the first episode. The 2nd episode it only took 2 sessions so maybe it's getting better. Boring is definitely the adjective I would use here.
at this point one might think that marvel ran out of bad writers that miraculously keep on failing upwards after writing bad show one after another. I guess they have more of 'em in the stock.
@2:14 this bit was filmed at dean clough mills in halifax. I saw them filming it. Theres some scenes that were filmed at the piece hall too, with these giant inflatable russian dolls... in fact I think all the shitty Russian bits might've been filmed here lol.
thats the problem with the current marvel universe, i mean, it’s littered with superheroes and alien gods, not to mention a freaking sorcerer supreme watching over it. theres literally no chance for a small villain to take over earth anymore, especially not if his plans can be so easily thwarted. To take over earth, you need so much more, you’d need to be an avengers level threat, maybe something much higher.
