This time I do some discovering myself, Frederic Leighton a painter who lived in Kensington and part of the Holland Park Circle. I also test the OM-5 at the Priory Church of St Bartholomew the Great near Smithfield, take a walk on the North Downs and visit Whitehaven Mansions, the fictional name for Florin Court featured in the ITV series about Hercule Poirot, starring David Suchet.

Again an excellent program. Your are showcasing your craft in the best possible way. I very much enjoy the images, comments and the opportunity to see the sights from far away. A great motivation to go out and follow your example.

Another excellent video, as per usual. Regarding the lens you have been typically using lately, the 12-45 f4 pro, do you ever miss the larger aperture of its heavier 12-40 f2.8 brother? Or is the weight saving advantage enough to counterbalance the slight loss of speed? Having had both of these lenses, I find them both to offer exceptional sharpness. But as you do often shoot inside churches and buildings, I wonder if the 12-40 f2.8 is appealing to you as an alternative to the f4 lens? Thanks

I have never used the 12-40 Pro. The image stabilisation in the OM-5, perhaps to my surprise, is amazing and so far, I have not had problems handholding the 12-45 Pro in lowlight and let the photos be my evidence.

The first lens I bought to pair with my OM-5 was the 12-45 f/4. An absolute gem of a lens. I happily used it for about 8 months, along with the 40-150 f/4. Then I succumbed to RU-vid marketing and a good 2nd-hand priced deal on the 12-40 f/2.8 and bought it. The funny / sad thing is that I almost never use the 12-40 f/2.8. I tend to shoot very early morning or in to the evening hours a lot and the 12-45 f/4 is great. At times, if light is really low, I let ISO ride up to 1600 or 3200 without worry. Any noise is easy corrected in post.
