I’m sure I’ve played this game many times (and I’m playing it again now) but I don’t know if I ever got past the maze temple place in Antica. Can’t remember why because it has been such a long time but I’ll find out soon enough…
@@timmymorris91 The temples in Antica are really kind of hard to navigate. I am working on the second part of my guide but i think it might take approx two weeks, so that might be too late for you. I need to find a way to do these videos much faster...
You are welcome! The nostalgia trip is great when playing a game after so many years again. Had the same experience with the Shinobi games on the Game Gear recently, havent played or even seen those games for over 30 years, but played the heck out of them as a kid.
I have this cartridge and it's a childhood favorite. I got the rom so I could give it one more playthrough. Thanks for the tips. This playthrough is gonna be fun.🍻
I totally agree! But Secret of Mana got way more attention, while its development was kind of flawed with the whole chrono trigger thing going on and major parts of the game being stripped, which really is a shame. I would like to see what Secret of Mana could have been with some proper development.
Theres an exploit you can use in the volcano to get all the mud peppers you want, as long you do it before finishing the boss after the pipes section. Theres an area with three monsters in it, two purple reptites (or whatever they're called) & a grey one, kill them all over & over to get as many peppers as you want but you'll probably only need about 12 at most throughout the game as levitate isn't needed that much.
Oh, so the reptile commander respawns when you re-enter the area? Didn't know that, thanks for telling me. But that would mean Blimp will loose his major source of income. ;)
I can't really choose I love all of them^^ even the annoying parts you mentioned^^ But I would say the Colosseo because of the musics that goes with it, or some parts of Gothika also for the musics^^ well the Entire game^^
Favorite age? Well, it's the same with colors, there are just too many to pick only one ;) From the cool aspect, I think Omnitopia is my favorite but it's also the shortest, so I will go with Gothica for it's atmosphere. Love the dog and the knight theme, the music of the pink forest and the atmosphere down in the dark forest. Could be more secrets though. And as usual, the sewers suck, as do the many flying skulls and dragons which are too hard to hit. From a playing point of view, I think Prehistoria is the best, because it's the most well fleshed out region. Many different places to see and visit. And I kinda like the swamp. Wished the other regions would also be more like it and offer a bit more variety in places. This makes Antica my least favorite, especially with the dull temple and pyramid dungeons, and the oglin tunnel... However, the city is awesome and despite many people disliking it, I absolutely love the market and the trading. (Inspired me as a kid to build a LEGO market in it's style.) So there you have it, all ages are kinda cool, and very different in many ways: atmosphere, available spells, trading stuff, the dog's looks and abilities, characters, music and and and.
Thank you for the in-depth explanation. :) It certainly boils down to personal taste, i think prehistoria has the least amount of annoying things in it which makes it a more enjoyable experience overall. Then they added too many labyrinth-style dungeons. And yeah, all flying enemies are a pain and they respawn so often... but its still an awesome game! The Bazar was also my favorite part as a child, spending hours trying to figure out how to get all the stuff without a guide and the internet...
