Okay, so things are a little more difficult thus far. In this episode:
-Rumble in the Mammoth Graveyard and learn Heal
-To the top of the Volcano (learn Levitate)
-We venture into the Swamps for a Mud Pepper
-Using Levitate, we battle our way through the Volcano
IMPORTANT: I did not create nor do I own this patch. This is merely me playing it.

I’m glad you keep bringing up Fallout and the difficulty curve. That’s always my favorite part of the game. You have nothing so everything that you find is interesting and new and you get excited about just finding a crappy rusty pistol. By the end of the game you have so much crap you can’t carry it all and a pile of nukes to launch at enemies. It’s a shame most games have this backwards difficulty curve. Instead of the game getting more challenging or even just maintaining its challenge it gets easier the more you play. That’s why I love the SoulsBorne games. They’re difficult and interesting the whole way through. You get so few weapons and items that all of them are interesting, no matter what point you’re at in the game. Finding a new weapon or piece of armor also isn’t just a case of which one is “better”. Any weapon or armor piece can be viable at any point in the game. There’s always a balance or trade-off.

Fallout got me in with its wow factor, but I feel like after a couple runs with it, you see how basic it is. Granted, it can't be easy to balance a game. It either has a grind you can overcome early on, or a certain point at which things level off. The World Ends With You is one fantastic example I can think of, because the game play is always changing as you progress through the story.

@@BrockShake I have it on my SNES Classic. Would you recommend playing the vanilla version first? Or should I get some kind of patch that fixes glitches/bugs and or rebalances the game?

I would recommend playing it normally first. Just don't use the Speed formula. I played the game for years (I didn't know about Speed) without it, but then when I got it I used it like mad and my hit% was like - 65,535, or something. I blame Speed, because it was the only thing that that changed vs how I had been playing. It's not like you need it. It's not a hard game. I'd say play it normally, because this patch really only adds a grind. Then, if you think you like the game enough after beating it add on those difficulty+ patches.
