It would've been absolutely hilarious if Campenaerts had waited all the way to the end of Ollie's explanation and had gone "damn, didn't know my bike was doing that!"
OO Lab is a safe space for the Orbea team and key partner brands to have the freedom to explore their creativity and passion with reckless abandon... O O oooooooo yeah
Thanks Dr O..... "labs " and crew....2 things , you will have that bar tape on yours asap , and all the riders will want you to handle their bikes for luck now ! Very effing cool ..be well , all !
It's a copy of the original gen2 Aeroad design, from 2014, a bit modified, although more what Canyon did up to the newest 2025 gen4 Aeroad. Still, even the 10 year old Aeroad is faster, then this new Orbea.
So what you are saying, is that Orbea is making a carbon bike (carbon having an issue with sustainability and recycling materials) even less sustainable? It doesn't matter that pros need the bike for only 1 season, the bikes don't disappear after the season, most of them are sold, right?
Nice review and nice bike. Good to have a smallish space in the wheel arches for aerodynamics, but from a practical point of view having limited clearance means if your tyre picks up a small stone, it will like take some paint off the frame as it passes through the arch. Not great if this happens to your new bike. I’ve had this happen on a few bikes…
Not as long as he holds the handlebars with his hands as well. It would be different if he resting his forearms (Wilhelm von Schipp tried a kind of handlebar that would rest the entire forearm on it while holding the hoods and that’s banned). As it is, Campenaerts is well within the rules
A while ago my SRAM Rival etap started making a metallic noise. I noticed that the inner plate holding the pulley wheels is scraped from the chain. Quite a lot, a few milimeters deep. I have cleaned the whole drive train completely, fine tuned the gears according to SRAMs guides but the same noice is still there. Is this a common issue? And what would be a fix?
Ah yes, top secret yet they’re out at the biggest race in the world and one of the biggest sporting events in the world. Clickbait titles are getting less and less thought to them nowadays
