Quick video showing the location of the scuttle panel drain holes, which are often hidden by mud and don't allow water to drain into the funnels beneath.
Thanks, I’m cleaning the flaps on a regular basis but I will check those holes too now. Also I noted electrical wires running close to the hood supports on the left hand side. I would suggest that you protect them with some automotive tape to avoid a short cut. With the vibrations the wire insulation can be damaged over time.
Great video that's given me a little job today. Looking forward to both the bonnet catch/alarm sensor change and the lanoguard after wheel arch liner removal. Many thanks for all your helpful advice👍
Thanks John. I have Lanoguarded the underside and will drop Part 1 this coming Sunday evening. I’ll then do a Part 2 soon with inner wheel arch and sill cover removal.
@@BeavisPits many thanks I have cleaned underside of mine and given a spray with lanoguard but unsure as to arch liner removal also the plastic sill trims. Stay safe 👍👍
Have become obsessive about reaming out these drain holes for years - keeping them clear is easy with an angled pick, making them bigger would only allow more shyte through to block the drain pipe. More important for sunroof owners is keeping the drain channels clear up there. Just finished Winter fettling especially the brake callipers, wheel arches and chassis. Have always use generous amounts of ACF50 and seems to work really well 👍
Thanks for that, what a piss poor design though those holes look made to block up with leaves and seeds etc, one wonders why they are so small and the lower part being seperate and much larger?? funnel shaped?? very odd
