There is a mysterious room in which an event once happened that caused all the objects from there to acquire magical properties, but not all of them are safe. There are also sects whose adepts are willing to do anything to get their hands on these objects. And Joe accidentally gets the key to it.

We loved this mini series when it was released. Decades later, we unintentionally bought land right down the road from where the "bus ticket" drops you. Didn't even know it until years after the purchase! lol!

I have always appreciated that they did this as a mini series rather than attempt to condense it to a movie. Push (2009) had a similar vibe but as a feature film it collapsed on itself due to forced exposition and too short of a runway to land on. Also if you really enjoyed this series, I'd check out the video game Control (2019) - it gives off a lot of the same feelings as this show with a touch of Dharma Initiative (Lost tv series) tossed in. Plus it's an absolute gorgeous game with solid gameplay.

This was an excellent series, didn't run on forever and become weak, ran just long enough to develop the story and leave the viewers wanting a bit more. If a remake was ever done it'd be interesting to see it set in another country.

This was a terrific series and could have gone on for years. The writing and suspense was superb and I have no idea why it was cancelled after only one season. I'd love to see someone else pick up this series and continue it.

It was cancelled, because the story was told and the network hat another series out there that dealt with supernatural objects. Warehouse 13.

This sounds like what it might be like to be normal people living in The Matrix, and a regular nobody stumbles upon one of the Keymaker's keys that he lost. And then some other shit starts turning up, other neat little artifacts crafted by rogue programs, which messes with the code in subtle but profoundly evocative ways.

I really like this movie I wish I had an object like that a simple key for a hotel room available to go on vacation etc. go shopping when the stores are closed on holidays that would be great. I won’t even tell my family knowing my siblings will turn on me. I’m not sure if I can trust my friends, telling them about magical key that can open infinite doors to random places.🤔😏.
