Possible unpopular opinion...I like taking Greg first in Fusion mode. Fused Greg 1-shots trees, so you can get some really fast coins and gems to start things off. Then you go with your various ranged DPS troops after that.
As much as I want Greg to work in fusion for that reason I find myself always getting behind in the late game with him. He kind of just takes up space and a fusion spot is so key to gave a strong unit there
in fusion start, won't the goblin drop 24 gold though (assuming at least classic goblin)? it starts with 3 goblins before the immediate fuse, so that's 3 goblins * 6 gold = 18 gold + 6 gold right after the fuse = 24 total gold. that would be pretty good. that'll get you another 3 troops with 3+5+10=18 gold so you have 3 troops and a fused goblin plus 6 gold. or if you're lucky and you can go another fuse with the first 3 chests, then you can spend another 5 gold for another troop, so you have 1 fused goblin, 1 more fused troop and 1 more troop and 1 goblin at the start without really even doing anything. that would be pretty good, right?
With a fused unit you can clear monsters faster and get gold quick. So gold isn't an issue here. As good as a Goblin would be the chests Increase in price every unit you have. The extra chest price for the fused Goblin just isn't worth it if you could get a fused bo/colt/epic/Nita. There are so many stronger options
@@Enchatin is just of one of those fused troops really better than a fused goblin plus 3 normal/single troops though (which you can get with the starting gold from the fused goblin)?
@verygooddeal4436 technically no. But if you don't fight for a while you have to remember chests rise in price. The more members you have the more expensive the late game chests will be
