Yeah,well , it can never be justice anyways. Longing for the guilty being punished , even if they get death penalty, but the people who grief Linda,wouldnt feel a smudge better anyways. I fin it so sad that a innocent man lost all his family ,tho. He might have gotten a lot of money,but he didnt hurt her. He got a life long punishment because his aunt always gave him what he needed. Thats kind of...small minded jealousy revenge... They should all cherish her memory and try to do what SHE would have wanted.

it's like. kinda weird they called it inappropriate because while her suitors were much younger than her, they weren't actually "young" the way a lot of people would imagine with very old men and very young women. the examples 48 hours gave of "inappropriate" was someone 18 years younger than her and someone 27 years younger than her. If I were to assume she met them around the time she got her surgery, which was 55, that means they were 37 to 28 years old respectively, if not older depending on when she started dating them. While those age gaps are huge, both men are well into the years where they probably had a stable career, identity, and enough life experience to make experienced decisions with dating and who to trust. Like 37 and 28 are both around 30-40ish, they're not even young. They're totally younger than her, but they're not children or kids who just became adults like "inappropriate" would imply.

yes he was spoiled but this is typical of the very wealthy.. he was a successful DJ, just didnt make bankers digits.. he was completely honest about his generous aunt and his earlier habits (drinking, needed money to start a business, etc) from the start he was how l would imagine his aunt to be, outgoing, direct, and truthful.. stop making him the bad guy STILL, even after learning it was someone else.. good grief.

meh a reckless lifestyle can and usually does catch up to you but the family turning against him is them just being inconsiderate jerks. This whole situation sounds weird to me just in my opinion. There are many scammers out there and people will do anything for money. Are we sure the nephew didn’t plan all of this from the beginning and the girl who came foward maybe in on it too. The guy only got 20 years probably get out early. Maybe they all were promised money from the nephew? I think it’s very odd how the girl came foward and again in my opinion was acting like everything she was saying was scripted. I find it weird that she tried to make it clear she didn’t know the nephew. Very weird to me and the nephew seems like a guy that could pull this off. Plus the nephew failed a liar detector test right? I would like to see them all get a lie detector test. I don’t know something just seems off especially how the nephew first asked about the jewelry and he knew what she had in the house. Oddly enough the so called killer had the jewelry and paintings and got caught watching news footage. Seems like the nephew already knew the jewelry and paintings were gone. Be interesting to see where all her money went? Very weird case. I just don’t believe any of those 3, again my opinion. And this guy all of sudden decides to plead guilty? Very strange bc he was better off going to trial bc they had no proof or evidence that he was there. No DNA or fingerprints. And in court it’s almost sad if he was being coached by the attorney and it was scripted. He didn’t know why he covered her face? Seems that all of sudden some girl comes foward and she solves the case and that’s it case closed. I don’t believe she didn’t know the nephew it seemed fake when she said she never heard of them. Either way that poor lady was killed. Michael comes off as very conceited and loves the attention. Almost like he is trying to come out as he has no secrets and yes he parties etc. etc. He comes off as a man that is constantly talking. Feels like he would have more motive for her to be dead bc I’m sure he was compensated through her will when she died. He even said he’s always financially troubled. It’s odd that they don’t mention anything about her assets and where they went, unless I missed it, I’m working and listening to it. But seems like Michael had more motive and would benefit the most and paid the other two off. And possibly it was his best option to go to prison and try to get out early and then be compensated and is set. Michael is the clever one and knew to use alcohol or told him to use it. Maybe Michael didn’t physically do it not sure but feels like he was definitely involved. Michael says he doesnt remember what he said to deputy’s. He’s a pretty smart guy, he remembers. And somehow her car was stolen. I guess the killer knew where she kept her keys and had time to find them while murdering Linda and also starting a fire. I’m sure Michael knew the house very well and knew where she kept her keys. Again my opinion but I’m sure I can’t be the only one that has suspicions….then again I could be completely wrong but I guess it doesn’t matter either way poor Linda was murdered and her life was cut short.

It is not his lifestyle that is the problem here, it’s the lack of integrity and empathy of the family to just throw the guy under the bus! They were wrong for it, not him!

48 hours tried to make a chilling story of this but don't be duped. The suspect was mentally ill. He never had a relationship with Linda, Linda picked up on his mental illness & nothing come of that. The suspect was incapable of any romantic relationship due to mental illness. He just knew where to find her. He is probably paranoid schizophrenic (untreated). He didnt sell much or any of those items he took, he didn't have the mental capacity to do much with that stuff. He was loved dearly & his friends/family. they saw him change over the years & struggle. And drug use to treat those voices happens. Its textbook. 20 years is fair, he will likely be in a psych portion of the prison, he cant hold a job or socialize well. The friends that knew and loved him, who tipped of the police, were heros here. He pleaded guilty probably by their request or encouragement. Throughout the years of learning of different murders or other shenanigans that happen in Palm Beach, I've come to the conclusion that a huge number of people there are not of very decent character but very shiny on the outside.

what would you think, you said you are close to the victim, borrowed money without asking when to pay back but he did not visit during the burial? fishy. Sweet words but impossible to act, don't fit.

I lived there two years in 2021-2022. Panhandlers on every corner just outside city limits. Horrible place to live - mentally ill people and drug addicts everywhere. No exaggeration. Could not wait to move!

A friend named Shannon Leshin was killed buy her ex-boyfriend in her home with her kids in the house and he only received 20 years. Yet there are drug dealers that sold marijuana back in the eighties and nineties who got sentenced to prison for 15 to 20 years everyday. I would really hope that Shannon's murderer Gary never gets out but unfortunately he's going to be up for parole in about 5 years. It disgusts me that he will walk the face of the Earth again as a free man.

@@Janadu maybe his personality is cocky. He was very close to her, and he was worried about her cat & if she was robbed or not. Trying to figure out why she was murdered, & if the jewelry was gone. That's why he said he knew where the jewelry was & he could check. Also, he was closer to her than his mom and they were accusing him of killing her for money. Which he totally didnt & they excluded him at a time he needed them. I can guarun-dam-tee you he would only have to ask her for money & he'd get it. He may not be the sweetest guy in his demeanor or reputation but he was definitely grieving the loss of the only person he had a special relationship with in the family. If his heart was broken can you say how it would look?

If you don’t the police look at you like you have something to hide you can never win the police know damn well that the polygraph don’t prove anything

I saw a show on Investigation Discovery about a kidnapper and victim took polygraphs and the victim was declared to be deceptive and the kidnapper was NOT deceptive. Turns out the police found more evidence that proved the victim was telling the truth. My takeaway is Never take a polygraph. It’s not admissible and has too much room for error. I’m not giving them any reason to arrest me for something I didn’t do.

Problem is it's seen as an admission of guilt to decline them as well. There is no winning when you're asked to take a polygraph.

Polygraph tests are full of sh*t. The test shows the slightest deception...GUILTY! The test shows no deception? They want you to take it again...and again...and again until they get the results they're hoping for.

I took 2 polygraphs by the state police and I passed them both .. I was not telling the truth . It was for non violent crime . . But ANYONE who believes a machine of ANY kind , can tell you who Is lieing and who is not ... needs deep therapy .

20 years is an insult to Linda and her family. He went to prison in 2007 so we've got to deal with this monster being free in just a few years.

They are malarkey . No one should ever take one . They gave my brother 3 of them , the third one lasted 2 hours !! They finally found a hint of deception and then they just knew he was guilty 😡. He was found innocent by a jury of peers in 47 minutes . But it destroyed him . He’s never been the same . He missed his wife’s funeral and his son unalived himself . And to top it off , the small town that the trial was in , they want a $180k for his court appointed attorneys and other expenses accrued
