Yup, she is by far the most passionately defensive attorney I've ever seen after having watched probably hundreds of these stories. Particularly when she reduced Becky's clear expressions of fear to friends as family as "a lot of girl talk". It's one thing to say "there is no evidence to substantiate that, no evidence he ever physically harmed her in any way"...that's what I would expect from an attorney. To minimize it as "a lot of girl talk" is very unprofessional and the kind of the thing you'd expect from a friend or family member of him, not an attorney.

My narcissist ex husband would have definitely gotten rid of me had he not been successful in intimidating me to walk away with nothing. He literally followed me around on our daughter's graduation/birthday and berated, screaming and making us all miserable, to get me to sign the divorce papers. I believe whole heartedly that he would have killed me had he not got exactly what he wanted. He would tell me from his time in the Marines, he learned how to get rid of a body. I'm still affected by his callous and calculated actions to this very day, 3 years later. I had no money or resources to fight for myself and my 3 daughters. I called everywhere to get help. Something needs to change because some women are abused, mistreated and threatened but no one cares to help. He is a Marine and I'm a simple house wife with no prospects because he made sure of that.

I have a very tough time with cases like this.. I went through a very tough divorce where my wife gas lit every single person in our lives into believing I was a horrible person. During that time, my goal was to make sure our kids never heard me say a single bad thing about their mom. I never spoke bad about her to a single person. Ultimately that worked against me. If my ex would have been murdered by someone during that time I would have 100% been the primary suspect based on what other people would have said. There needs to be physical evidence to convict a person to life in prison regardless of circumstantial evidence. Too many innocent people go to prison.

His answer on the tv program already tells you how twisted his mind is. He's so full of himself he thinks he can charm anyone, only the tv host wasn't impressed at all. His lawyer is as irritating as he is culpable. I feel for Becky's boys.

Exactly. In all the true crime I absorb, I have yet to see abusers of any kind just flatly say "yep, I did it." They are cowards who are only concerned with being perceived well so they can continue to do the despicable things they do.

Lying for a narcissist is second nature. They lie even when they have no reason to. Constantly pressured to prove to themselves that everyone else is less intelligent than they are.

His defense attorney seems like a jealous girlfriend more than an attorney defending her client. She gives me the creeps and those eyes 👀! Yikes! I would bet if they dug a little deeper, they’d find him and her had some sort of relationship going on and hell they probably still do! SMH. Prayers to Beckys family and kids.... I’ve been in this situation but thankfully I woke up in a hospital and underwent emergency surgery and survived. It was a long road and when kids are involved it’s just awful. My heart goes out to all of them.

She did sound like his gf! And how do you hire your divorce attorney to be your criminal attorney?! That just sounds weird to me. Like he’s sleeping with her so he can’t say “no I need a better attorney!! “

I am SO elated that his interview was being done with him behind bars from the start! How could ANYONE not look at thjs evidence and know with 100% certainty he's done it. His lawyer is also clearly a few sandwiches short of a picnic. Justice was served.
