I wish toy companies still did accessory packs. One of my favorite things about getting Star Wars figures when I was a kid during the Clone Wars era, was that every figure came with their own accessories and a baggie full of extra weapons. I have a Pringles can full of weapons.
I once had an Art Instructor who didn't realize that purple was her favorite color. We figured it out before she did, and would always add purple to our paintings to get higher grades. She finally caught on, though.
As a kid, I always put the yellow Beastman armor on Moss man. That armor was hard to get off. I almost pulled Moss man’s head off trying to remove it. Great channel!
Seems like it would have been easy money to just crank out a bunch of the weapon packs, since you already had/have the tooling?? Just paint them holiday colors ,GID, or just mix em up all kinds of crazy ways!!! Would’ve been a perfect chance to do the pink Faker armor, ax and sword! Horde themed, snake-man themed, idk, or were they not that profitable?
Love the weapons paks. I wish toylines would do this more not just for customization just for fun I got so much more mileage with my figures swapping and playing with them this way
Scott, thank you for the info, much appreciated. Keep them coming (going through your older videos, lol). Now for the next weapon pack. 0416, watching Toy Guru videos... hot coffee is my friend right now.
I thought the weapons paks were neat. Some of the choices were...interesting at times, haha. But overall it was fun to get extra accessories for characters that missed out, especially with the later paks.
@@spectorcreative1872 I guess that's why we have these videos. So we can hear about the reasoning behind the choices. :) At least you weren't responsible for the second green Clawful mace, haha. I'm sure Ruben will never live that one down. XD
Great video! Thank you! Loved this set, and all the Weapons Paks in MOTUC. I was disappointed when they were nixed. Would've loved to have gotten more of them, like dedicated Trap Jaw weapons in black, maroon, and silver, for example. Or fleshing out some omitted weapons from the first Pak or Grayskull Weapons Rack, or the ones found scattered about the Eternia playset.
Yup you are right. My bad. I mixed that memory up with the Hordak variant that came years later with a white cross bow. You would think I would look at my own darn visual. I'll add this to the list for an upcoming "mistakes I made" video!
When you get to the point where you run out of figures you did, will the series end or there a chance you'll like do an interview with the Super7 people or something? Also, I can't wait to see you talk about Mighty Spector. I know a lot of fans don't like him, but I always thought he was cool with like the cosmic key guns and things.
I really wanted to see He-Man's harness in blue to go with the weapons in this weapons pack. I even bought an extra He-Man if the opportunity came. I was always disappointed it didn't happen. Aside from that, I loved the Weapons paks.
I think that looks more like a lower case Omega than an E on its side. Also "Omega Armor" sounds more MOTU than just "E Armor" to me, then again it could also be an Epsilon on its side.
I thought that when He-Ro came out and came with that translucent blue sword that it was a throwback to the blue power sword in the 80s weapons pack. Is there any truth to that?
The Blue Clear Sword the He-Ro came with was because it was holding the Power of the Universe in it which was transfered to an orb by King Grayskull. See the story here: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Rt3SLs85F7k.html
@@spectorcreative1872 Oh I know that. I mean behind the scenes was that the reason they made his sword blue? That it was a homage to the completely blue sword from the original weapons pack.
I was a little sad we didn't get more of these in the original Masters of the Universe, and GI Joe. And never got them in Transformers. Hooray for Shapeways at least! And of course legit releases too
My Stratos had blue wings. Then when I saw the cross sell pic which had red wings, I thought I got an interior variant. Wasn't happen about it as a kid
Wait... it’s armor make for the “Won-Dar” character, so why not just call the “W” a “W?” Instead of “...an E on it’s side.” It’s a stylized “W.” (Though, growing up, I always assumed it represented a trident/pitchfork thingie.)
The armor is a repaint of the armor for Zodac. This is a recreation of what was in the vintage Weapon Pak which included this armor! See a bit more here! ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-xhnH62KZ0SI.html
You should of made the Zodac armor a much darker purple for those who may want to make their own custom "early version" of Intergalactic Skeletor, using the Dragon Blaster Skeletor figure together with. Just saying.
Always thought that was a play on the word enforcer, as in the cosmic enforcer..... Which could be another very cool concept to explore, the origin of zodac, him becoming a cosmic enforcer, and how He-Ro first attained the sword of He. Who knows?? Maybe Revelations will tell the tale!!
