Lovely little set tour, Scott. I've been following your channel for awhile now and have found it quite informative. Not only has it helped me appreciate comics me more, it has helped me more generally as well. I'm an aspiring screenwriter, and even though I'm probably somewhat older than you, I feel I've learned a lot about storytelling in general from watching your videos.
I loved the tour! A testament to your great lighting, I thought your background was green screened in for a long while... when you started touching stuff my mind exploded a little.
I first noticed the Ramona sketch, I was like, "OOH! OOH! THAT THING FROM MY FAVORITE MOVIE ADAPTED FROM MY FAVORITE COMICS." I was quite happy, as you can probably tell.
I suddenly got a rush of excitement learning I'm not the only comic-nerd/playing card collector in the world. Thanks Scott. love the channel and the exciting little tidbits we see everywhere. Since you've done a Ducktales video, are we going to get Darkwing Duck anytime soon?
I love your channel, Scott. Its a shame that YT doesn't help the little guys. But your videos are better than most of the other comic related channels. So keep up the good work man, and hopefully everything will work itself out. Google didnt become what it is overnight
I love me some behind-the-scenes stuff every once in a while! 😊 About the app/platform: I‘m gonna check it out (in fact, I have already downloaded it), but it does sound VERY similar to one that Comic Drake once promoted ("Gemr"), which I checked out back then, but never really used much - for the same reason I‘m probably not gonna use this one much: I don‘t have that many comics. I love the idea of collecting, but right now I don‘t have the time or room to start collecting collectables or something and my comic collection fits in one level of shelf (lots of "collect"-words). But anyway, I‘m gonna give it a try and I love that they are sponsoring NerdSync. 😊
It's from Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World (the movie, not to be confused with the second volume of the graphic novels) where Scott asks Comeau if he knows where a girl with hair like the hair in the picture Scott drew is.
Aquaman always prominent. 👍👍 Outrageous. Also that was drawing is Romana Flowers from the Scott Pilgrim movie. 😊 (I was distracted by all the Aquaman stuff.) 😶
Man I need to get my collections in better order like you've done. I'm mostly a manga person myself but I do have a small growing collection of Dark Horse Avatar: The Last Airbender and Legend of Korra Comics going on. Though my biggest set of collectibles outside of the small amount of Anime related items, like the Zoid I built the night of the Super Bowl XXXVII when a guy from my high school won it for Tampa Bay, would have to be my vinyl and plush Tsum Tsums. At last count I had over forty of the little buggers and I need a better way to display all of them one of these days. Don't ever get into blind bags and boxes when it comes to things like that Scott because once you start you just can't stop. They're up to series four on the Marvel vinyl figures and Iron Man, Vision, Dr. Strange, The Winter Soldier, and Venom are currently hanging out with Baymax (the Disney robot version) and the rest of the Disney crew.
It's Ramona Flowers, I'd recognize that hair anywhere. What kind of lens do you use? Your depth of field looks better than I would expect for a small set like that.
This is how all my comics are organized : DIGITAL (And every thing physical is get setting on the book self or tucks away in my closet under some clothes GOD I *REALLY* NEED TO SEPERATE THOSE INTO TWO SEPARATE COMPARTMENTS )
The lower 2 row of the comic book shelf is overkill since we never see them. :) But i imagine it's a good selfconfidense-boost... and without those comics the shelf would look like crazy. So i understand you. :)
Scott is like Adam Conover but instead of being the party pooper that ruins everything, He's the nerd that's great to be a friend but is just too weird
It would be nice if scott talks about regrettable superheroes and why are they regrettable. I have both the book (regrettable superheroes & regrettable supervillains), but maybe there are things that i’m missing out here and there.
15 hours after i watched the comments video i had duck tails in my head at work after 7 hours sleep STILL IN MY HEAD thanks Scott I have watched and loved every one of your videos
The drawing is the sketch that Scott Pilgrim drew when trying to describe Romona Flowers, mainly in the movie is where it looks like that, but if it's in the movie it's in the manga/comic right?
Thanks I am new to Marvel Comics and I have to organize my comics I divide them in Spider-Man books then X-Men books then Avengers books after comes Fantastic Four/Inhumans the Guardians of the galaxy before the last one comes Defenders and last but not least Marvel Heroes
Man, keep on with the podcast with Dylan! Pleeeees😶. I love listening to you talking (almost) regardless of the topic. And it's even better if the topic is u😅 ... Great vid.
I know you probably won't see this or reply, but if I was to start reading comics, where would you say I start Scott? Love the channel btw, I've been watching you for a while.
I have a question, Scott. Have you ever taken a quiz to find out your lantern corpe, and if so, which one was it? I took one, and I would be a Blue Lantern! This is something I could definitely see happening.
Scott: "Hey Comeau You know everyone right?" Comeau: "Yeah pretty much" Scott: " Hey do you a girl with hair like this?" *pulls up picture* Comeau: " yeah that's Romona Flowers, Yeah she was going to be here tonight, what You have the hots for her?"
So the movie that has a girl with hair looking like that on a party is actually your favorite movie. That's interesting. I personally love the comics just a bit more with them actually being my favorite comic series.
