Good morning Sherralin from the Heysham Belfast ferry lol 😆 Off to scan some dogs in Belfast this week with the MRI scanner 😊 A little different that last week scanning a orangutan 🦧 and sloth at Chester Zoo 🤣 Anyway great video with fantastic information. Back in the day when I did European in the 80s it was word of mouth at the services 🙄 How things have change now. It mush be a great help for new drivers 👍🏻 So top girl for showing it 🤩 When my wife and I used to drive to our Casa in Sucina Spain 🇪🇸 we counted how many Primafrio lorries 🚛 on the journey for a bit of fun. We counted over 100 one trip 👍🏻 We still look out for them in the U.K. as well as Mazo lorries. So seeing them on your videos gives me happy memories. Take care love Stevie 🏴 xx

@GBtrucklady the parking area is closed now so the nearest parking to Spalding is Sutterton roundabout on the a16/a17 it is 30pound as far as I know keyfuels I think restaurant n showers n a Mcdonald on same sight.take care stay safe.
Hi Sherralin, Loving the videos, a great insight into the transport world Am about to begin learning HGV as a career change - doing my first CPC next week but have a couple of questions about the international driving please. How do you adjust the headlights for driving on opposite side of road - have never seen any lorry or coach with headlight deflectors on. Who books the ferry / ferry accommodation for you, is it yourself or the office and do you always get a cabin, choice of route? and insurance - do you have to provide your own insurance or is this under a company insurance? Hi, most vehicles have a headlight adjuster wheel on the dash, you just turn them down a bit if you find you are blinding people, in saying that the DAF doesn’t but it’s a “known thing” how bad the headlights on a DAF are, no chance of blinding anyone! 😂😂 The transport company usually books the ferry. This can depend on, times and route planning and where you are clearing customs. The price of a freight ticket normally either includes meals or gives you a discount on meals and a bunk in a shared cabin, not a cabin. This could mean, which happens regularly at this time of year, you will be sharing a cabin with 3 total strangers of the same sex as you, not necessarily from the same country. Cabins depend on the route, no cabins on ferries from Dover. All companies must have, vehicle, goods in transit and public liability insurance. Most reputable companies, like mine, also have policies that cover the driver if they need hospital care or repatriation when they are away, similar to holiday insurance. If you work for a company that doesn’t provide this cover it’s a good idea to get it for yourself just in case, it’s not expensive. Thanks for watching and good luck with your future career. 😁👍🏻

Did the place fill up at night hence why that wide load parked in a bad spot. Do you still get issued a ticket if you go in there using your toll tag so that you can use the pedestrian walk way. And finally isn't it funny how you just can't sleep either end of the bunk 😂😂. For years I slept with my head behind the drivers seat and nowadays I slept the other end 😂😂
I know your working but i need more videos . 5 a week please will do .And i get it i cant sleep with my head behind drivers seat. I only head behind passenger seat and once i slid two boards under mettsress at head end to make my own slope down . head up feet down always .
@@GBtrucklady you have to pay for the majority of them. You reserve online and then park there. There are free ones but as you can imagine they are always busy and less secure
Like I said. Take the ticket you get at the entrance to the machine before you need to go and pay with debit/credit card. When you get to the exit put the ticket into the machine there.
