I don't recommend setting up fingerprint or face unlock. If someone (like the police) takes your phone, they can just point it at you and the phone unlocks.
You can temporarily disable biometrics by opening the power menu or clicking “lockdown” depending on the android model. It puts the phone in a locked state, similar to when it’s booting up. The same works (first method) on iPhone.
Google backups are now E2E encrypted. Also, as far as I know Smart Lock cannot use Bluetooth devices as a second factor, it only keeps the phone unlocked when nearby, so it's actually a security risk.
Google play store more trustworthy than fdroid? There are plenty of apps there that are neither secure, nor privacy friendly - and closed source. Blocking side-loading is not the solution either. "If you're using Google services..." or if it uses you for the most part.
I have an Honor 6x, it doesnt seem to have a official lineage os version. Nor does the brand give any bootloader code. I was very interested in using Lineage, as i hate EMUI. What do you think is my best available option?
@@Carahato you misunderstand grapheneos, it seems secure and is to a large extent, but still there's people who have trouble with installing their apps on it
@@Carahato no, I mean you're misunderstanding the requirements of a lot of the users who flash custom ROM, I want security and privacy too, but there's a limit to how far I can go without google's interference until my financial transactions take a hit, I do not like to share my data with anyone as evil as google, but the ease of use with online payments is just a necessity at this point (even tho I can live without it, not others can). Grapheneos is a viable choice to those who have all this sorted out
@@Carahato that happens very often, in fact I get the notification, it even shows in RU-vid's notification history, but after clicking on it, the comment is removed, RU-vid getting retarded now
@@Carahato it's probably the algorithm of RU-vid, it's plenty powerful if you notice, it recommends stuff I just thought about a while back, and it's scary how frequently it happens. The same algorithm might apply everywhere else, like filtering comment section
I had a request but I wonder if my fav ytbrs would ever touch it🥺 Our files can be recovered but if we fill our device with trash of 0 and 1 would they be able to recover?. Make a full video on it M Ma Maybe..?🥺
Files can be recovered when they're are deleted using special software. In order to make a deleted file unrecoverable you'd need to overwrite it with another file or use special software to erase it. Bitdefender has a feature called "File Shredder" which makes files unrecoverable. You can still see the name of a file if it's recovered but the contents of it can no longer be read. For instance, if you delete a .PNG with File Shredder, recover it, it will be corrupted and a media player like Windows 10's default picture viewer can't display anything. If you want to overwrite your files just take a bunch of photos of darkness or some other non-personal thing.
