As usual I hope this video finds you all doing well. Today, my daughter and I went to Home Depot in search of an easy, ready made raised garden bed for our backyard. Visiting you from The Ole Church 5 Acre Homestead. The bought Raised Beds are lovely. However, we prefer to make our own from reclaimed lumber for FREE. Like the Oak Barrels too. Great shopping tour and a great SHARE!

I've built a few boxes from purchased lumber which totaled about $70, so the prices of these containers aren't too bad. I wish I had access to some reclaimed wood. That would be great! Thanks for watching.

How deep should the planter box be for tomatoes?

In my experience, a tomato plant can be grown in a planter box that is 6 inches deep, however I have noticed that deeper pots and growing in -ground have resulted in larger plants that produced more fruit due to the more extensive root system. Thanks for watching!
