It's amusing that even after two years, this remains the best video I've found since I began watching tutorials on how to improve game settings

intro 0:00, video settings 0:58, gameplay 4:35, video config 5:58, autoexec 7:54, nvidia control panel 9:35, nvidia filters 10:09. The nvidia highlights part is optional but does make a nice difference, but please be aware there is a very slight fps hit. Use nvidia sharpening to counteract antialiasing blur. Sharpening and antialiasing both look terrible if you use only one and not the other but combined they look great and help me see people much better, especially at long distance

digital vibrane from the nvidia control panel do not go onto the streaming platform. I was streaming the other day and I turned it so down my game on my monitor looked black and white and I asked chat if they saw black and white. they didn't. so it only reflects what you see on your monitor. nvidia in game filters do transfer over to streams

hey i jsut started the video but the stretched resolution blurriness can be solved in the nvida control panel > manage 3d settings > image sharpening (makes sure scaling is enabled and you can increase sharpness there in change of the nvida overlay. its not perfect but it gets the job done.) if your monitor has a display scaling technology then you can go into the control panel > adjust desktop size and position and select interger scaling make sure the drop down menu just under says display and not gpu. and then check the box for overide scaling mode set by games and programs. once again both solutions work decently but are not perfect.

+20 fps and no more fps drops. I recommend 100%, helps a lot for the grind

LOD on low is actually 0.6 not 0.3, in my experience anything below 0.5 causes stability issues. Also, I suggest reducing Cascade resolution (cascade_res) to 256 or even 128. Apex uses shadow mips that are in place at all times, even with CSM disabled. cascade res changes the pixels and makes them lighter/easier to process at lower values. Shadows can actually still look pretty good even at 128 res (if you use shadows that is) but even without them it still makes a difference.

you should keep digital vibrance on standard setting (50) because it makes it actually harder too see in zone/heat shields also nvidia filters drop fps by alot especially on weaker gpus

Don't forget, if you change FOV settings, you should also scale your mouse sensitivity too instead of guessing what feels right so you have a smooth transition! There was a Reddit post out there somewhere that helped with this specifically.

Crosshair damage feedback with icon sorts out the colourblind mode chanfes, as it shows you when you're hitting shields vs flesh. So the flesh colour changes aren't as disorientating, and less so once you get used to it...

Like all the settings because I did this from your old video but things like the FPS, and in and out thing I can’t turn off without ruining all my other settings. Every monitor advertised as gaming nowadays should have a "shadow boost" settings which allow you to do what the filter does without any fps impact.

i´ve had the settings like for a week, 144 fps . And when i Started yesterday Apex i had huge frame drops i lost like 40-50 fps idk how. Reinstalled GPU Driver´s Reinstalled Apex updated everthing but still huge fps drops. need fix pls

Can I use this stuff competitively? The tourney I'm joining seems to have really weird rules.. like not being allowed to stay in an out of bounds timer. only seem to allow the csm shadows enabled setting when it comes to game files. Is it common in your experience with different tourneys?

These settings prob do help but its not a real comparison when ur using the lighting glitch in the firing range in one of the examples.

Wasn't there a problem in the game coming from changed FOV ? I kept it at 90 for all the time i've been playing cause I had a thing in my mind that it ruins your aim/targeting if you go higher.
