In my opinion, Tucker Carlson's beliefs are un-American. They contradict the values I was taught to uphold as an American. I don't have a problem with genuine conservative Republicans, but we as a nation must unite to eradicate toxic individuals like Carlson, particularly millionaire elitists. I think that since fox news won a lawsuit that was against them by saying they were not a news organization, but an entertainment channel, the FCC should make them have to put a disclaimer at the beginning of every single show they air that warns the viewers that what is being said is for entertainment purposes only, and may not be entirely accurate.

That question is unfortunately orthagonal to rightwing thought. As an example, I grew up watching and listening to Rush. In 1995 on his TV show he introduced a video clip describing what he was going to show. The video clip he played wasn't really what he had said. So he fake-laughs thestrically and says "see?" and repeats the description which again isn't quite what's on the clip but is more inflammatory. Then he plays the video clip again. And he repeated this half a dozen times. I didn't understand, was weirded out, and stopped litening or watching Rush after that. But it wasn't until I watched the dynamic with Trump that I really understood. Rush was training his audience which formed the core of the rightwing base, to ignore facts in favor of whatever made them angry and disgusted enough to stay fired up. Respect has nothing to do with it. They understand that its about collective power.
