The Peabody hotel in Memphis hosts an odd tradition that dates back to the 1930's. A special ceremony led by a professional "duckmaster" has captured the hearts of millions of travelers across the world. #CNN #News
could it be justin pearson reinstatement vote in memphis last wednesday,,,and that is when cnn knew about peabody ducks? and perhaps stayed there too during coverage?
I grew up an hour from the Peabody. It’s wonderful. It’s of my favorite things about Memphis. I remember seeing the ducks as a child. Now I have kids of my own and I love taking them to the Peabody to have the same experience. The Peabody uses the ducks to help raise money for St. Jude, a local hospital that treats children with cancer for free.
Awww just look at 'em waddle there, so cute in line like that - such well-behaved lil duckies! 🦆 ❤😊I was surprised by how all those ppl gathered around the fountain etc. didn't seem to phase or bother the ducks one bit, but ofc if they do this twice a day with a cool guy like Kenon, I get it (AND the mere fact that they live in a gorgeous, comfy duckie penthouse - probably a lot nicer than some ppls' own homes - would put any duck in a great mood I'd think! Love the mini duckie stairs too)! Never thought I'd ever think this, but how does one even begin to interview for a "duckmaster" job? 🤔... 🗣️"Oh, I really love all ducks and such...just never for dinner of course..." Lol I also wonder if those 🦆 🦆🦆🦆🦆 ever feel just a tad nervous once in awhile whenever a hotel chef passes by around meal times?! 🤣🤷🏻♀️ Well, If I ever get to Memphis I'll definitely have to check this out! Anybody in this comment section ever been to The Peabody Hotel before and seen this fun pomp and circumstance stuff? I woulda loved it when I was little (always enjoyed feeding the ducks pieces of bread in our backyard)!! 😅🦆
I've always like the Peabody Hotel since my college days at the University of Memphis formerly Memphis State University days back in the late 76-80. I also modeled there during the "Spring Teas" the lady's would have there. It is absolutely beautiful!
My wife and mother in law makes the whole family dress in our finest every time we attend the duck ceremony. (It is accidental we attend some other event the same day. )

The naïvety of the populace is breathtaking. This so fairly represents the profound ignorance inherent in society. Ducks can be seen almost anywhere, including on television. Yet, this zoo in a hotel has again exemplified the art of profit.
“ train the ducks , they also have a 200 000 dollar rooftop “ first of all, ducks can’t be trained , you can’t train a Duck to roll over or sit , theY don’t have the brains for it . This actually look ridiculous , they are wild birds , set them free
That if you confess with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. Romans 10 1 John 1 If we claim to be without sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us. 9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness. 10 If we claim we have not sinned, we make him out to be a liar and his word is not in us. Jesus answered, John 14:6 “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. John 3:16 The rapture is imminent!
I'm guessing it would be OK to walk into the Peabody Hotel with an AR-15 and blow away a coupla ducks and have the hotel kitchen cook 'em up real nice?
