this is my second one.
I tried fixing the first one with the pressure sensor switch and it didn't stop ot from constantly self priming
So I went and bought another one and it looks like they made some adjustments from what I can see without opening it up. #detailing #ryboi #ryboipressurewasher

Mine keeps cutting off the rfci thing when it’s plugged into my pressure washer. I know the generator has sufficient amps because my other PW works fine, same amps as ryobi. Not sure what I’m doing wrong, there must be air somewhere on one end. I’m gonna try exactly how you did

Fyi you can get a Active VE52 for about the same price as a Ryobi, they are $199 on Amazon. They are a million times better and last way longer, they come with a great hose and they are so much quieter. I almost bought a Ryobi for my first electric pressure washer a couple weeks ago and decided to just see how much the older Active was and I immediately got excited, lol. I just picked up a 1900 psi 1.2gpm Ryobi as a back up and I compared them and honestly they don't compare, I got the Ryobi used for 70 bucks but its practically new, I used it for the first time and it started doing the 1 second self prime every 10 seconds or so when the trigger was released and I ran to the store to get a better wand and it didn't do the self prime anymore. Not saying thats the issue your having but a bad Ryobi wand will cause the machine to self prime when trigger is released!!

Hello..when you go to connect the pressure hose to the outlet pipe does the outlet pipe have a 1/4 " play in it side to side up and down?I didn't want to run water threw it if that's not normal. I'd return it.Thank you for your time,Joe

Not sure what’s wrong with mine, whenever I prime the thing, it works for 30 seconds or so and then it will cut all pressure and the pump will make a real high pitched whine and even squeezing and releasing the trigger won’t shut the pump off, I just gotta let it do its thing. I’m honestly about to just spend the 600 bucks and get the new active 2.3 washer, I already spend enough dumb money as it is trying to keep this Mustang clean.. what’s another 600 lol

Sounds like the pump got ran without water and it killed the pump. This second one I bought is doing great still. not even a hiccup. They make very nice ones for like 300-400.

@SUPERBDETAILEDIT
@SUPERBDETAILEDIT 15 дней назад
Return it and buy a active 2.0 it's 300+ That's my next purchase. These ryobi only last do long and they just go bad. I find that if the pump get ran dry one time it just turns to junk after that.

I'm having a problem with my Ryobi 1800, every time I put the 1.5 tip on my sprayer, the pressure washer starts to cut off and on for some reason
@SUPERBDETAILEDIT
@SUPERBDETAILEDIT 8 месяцев назад
There is no 1.5 tip it comes with a 1.7 orifice size tip. I'm guessing it's to much psi for the pump?

IF IT HAS TO MUCH PRESSURE IT WILL TURN ON ANMD OFF OVER AND OVER AGAIN CUZ ITS USING TOO MUCH POWER. HARDER ON THE MOTOR THE MORE PRESSURE U USE WITH A SMALLER TIP!

Christertorres, what do you mean by ‘charge the oil’?
@christophertorres9568
@christophertorres9568 7 месяцев назад
@@MickeyD7134 they sell it at Home Depot it’s called cat pump, the brand but for pressure Washer pumps. Those electric pressure washers need oil to work if the are run without oil the pump can go out and the metal can burn the plastic stuff in inside the pump and the metal can expand. And to try to fix it will start leaking or will not work at all. And if you try to buy a pump it not worth it because the pumps are really expensive

All of the Ryobi 1800 psi PW's come with a 3 year warranty. You need to file a warranty claim on the original. Note: Always keep at least a copy of the original receipt (a photo of the receipt will suffice) as long as the included warranty.

Just dropped mine off after it wouldn't stop pressurizing non stop like the pressure gague failed or something. They said they straight up replace them since they aren't serviceable but it would take around 6 weeks to get me the replacement. In the mean time ill just pick another one up at home depot and simply return it for refund after i get my replacement.

You do not want to run a pressure washer without a tip. It’s not good for the pump.
