Oh my god, that was amazing. That gives my the creeps. I have to do a speech about Poetry Slams in my English class (I´m german) and I would love to show it to them. But this is really fast and I don´t understand everything. Is here anybody who could write it down for me ?? This would be so great !!!!!
Is there a transcript for this poem anywhere? I have difficulties understanding because 1) the sound quality isn't that good, 2) there's an echo, and 3) English is not my first language. On the basis of the parts that I CAN hear, this poem sounds pretty amazing.
Absolutely incredible. Roxy is as beautiful as her words. Her words move me to tears and give me goosebumps every time. I am honored to know this fantastic, invigorating and inspiring woman. Congrats Roxy, keep it up. You will always be a hero of mine.
I'm blasting this up for my daughters to look up to, love your word. from a Samoan in NZ, displacement is part of our human condition but ignorance shouldn't be. I agree with furious no need to run when you stand for so much.
I LOVE this, so powerful. Beautiful girl with an important message. I wish she didn't run away so fast at the end, she deserved to stand there and soak up those applause.
