Frankly, I am more excited about the P100s. These ones are too heavy, fold into a huge awkward triangle that can't be carried. They are fast sure, but so are many scooters on the market already. Not very usable.
I think it also, but i don’t like some choice they made in p100 so yeah, i think gt1 is better choice for me…not a fan of powerful motor but i’m more leaning to better motor…which frankly, the more power they output, the better parts require. So yeah, i don’t need 2wd or crazy acceleration. Gt1 mark nearly all the best feature i wanted for my second e-kickscooter… but the price is also what I concerned…specially how they can deliver it to small country, it’s availability and so on.
I wonder what will be the weight on the P100s! I believe its gonna be 2000usd …too expensive for me lol my budget is 1200$ range and if the scooter is heavier than 60pounds no thanks !
All good points!!!! I’m starting to consider this because more and more!!! I really think of the times I lifted it up to move somewhere I’ll probably end up riding and parking then walking up the stairs…. Soo thanks for the thoughts peeps I may feel consider buying this especially with gas prices
*Battery life is great **Latest.Bike** Scooter . Love the different driving modes. It’s got a little headlight and taillight too. Gets lots of looks haha*
so basically the only function of folding down the handles is to place it in small areas like your car but you cant really carry it. i assume it's super heavy to carry however it would have been nice to have something to grip onto while you lower it from your car like i do my Ninebot max.
@@ratchfordgeorge totally a commuter scooter. This is the first real commuter scooter, the rest are meager attempts. I’ve bought a couple of those “attempts”.
For me I would opt to save money and have a much more portable scooter with far more range with the P100S. If I’m going the GT route the GT2 sounds like the option I’ll be happiest with the longest between more power and more range. One thing a lot of people forget is you should get a scooter that has a higher top speed than you plan on driving regularly so that the range estimates are more accurate. My only major problem with GT2 is that it shuts off at 3%
It looks great... But I hate two things already. The throttle. I think that motorbike like throttle does not belong on electric scooter, because it's just totally different safety wise. Thumb throttle would be much better and safer. I think IPX4 is not good enough and IPX 6 or 7 would be much better. People want to commute on these and guess what... Sometimes it's raining. I don't mind the weight so much as I never have to carry my Escooter (Dualtron Spider). So, Ninebot, please, improve water resistance before official release... And throttle please. Then I'll buy it 100%. Thank you :)
Motorcycle throttle is a No for me, scooters handle different and are used differently as well, thumb throttle conversion would be nice. Design wise I hope other scooter makers try and emulate what Segway has done. This is one of the few scooters that doesn’t look like scaffolding with wheels.
The body of the GT1 and GT2 below the T stem should be water resistant but not the display. Just know the GT2 comes with a protective cover for the transparent PMOLED display!
Having come from ( 2 separate Segway G30 Max's.) In ( Australia) And a Kaabo Mantis Elite! I'm worried about the tire changes & the bearing replacements/ servicing on these straight up .. because with no workshop surrporting you. You pretty much have to do the repairs YA SELF 😬 and though i haven't had to change a tire. ( i know how much of a pain in the ass they are to do lol. ) I'm also worried on repairs to the bearings as I've had to replace two once before on my older Max. ( NOT FUN ) so I'm really hoping they go the route of a split style rim? Like a Kaabo Mantis Elite or pro for example. Or something along those lines as I'm pretty sure this is a tubeless tyre! And this would be a nightmare to do at home 🏡 especially for ppl with no mechanical background 🤷♂️ There's no official IP water rating that i can see either?? Hmm 🤔 also no Volt specs on motor or motors for the GT2 having two. No AH on battery either?? Only a watt hour rating which concerns me atm. Not to mention these are very pricey! I would expect GT1 to be around $1500 to $1800 AUD. And the GT2 to be around the same price as a Kaabo Mantis Elite or pro! Around the $3500 AUD. But these are well over that in western Australia. Ya looking at 4k roughly for the GT1 without its discounted sale of $3300AUD. And the GT2 is like $6200!! AUD Wahhh 😱 I'm a big fan of the look at the features but these things are pricey. And I'll be on the fence about these or even comminting to either without a ESG review of ( Real world riding conditions ) and i think slot world feel the same. But still pretty cool :)
I feel like “MANY” people dont know about maintenance ! Scooter are like using a mountain bike or road bike. They need checkups from time to time and yes last week got a flat tire on my bicycle and had to change the tire and tube and that will be the same for E scooter. Always ask your question before buying about replacing tires/brakes/lithium battery and maintenance on the scooter. Id suggest not using the scooter when its raining/snow even tho its water proof
my electric downhill mountain bike weighs half as much and have much more versatility. I would love to have the GT2 but I just find it awkward to use and not sure where I could have fun with it without likely injuring myself
@@landpet it should be fun to ride, maybe going to work, if have place to store. -If going shopping and park outside, for how long it would take before this scooter would be stolen? -Every scooter can be driven for fan. So, in the real world I see majority of people ride scooters up to $1500. So, this scooters is definitely overprized in comparison with similar scooters which already on the market.
I wonder how difficult it is to change the tubeless tires. How do you charge it, is the brick built in ? It's missing a side view mirror, is there a horn ?
I don’t know about the tire replacement. I didn’t see the plug but the rep said that it had the brick. No mirror and the horn is the left red button, I played the sound in the video.
GT2 weights 114 lbs, GT1 weighs not much less than that. These things are HEAVY. I don't recommend them for 3 flights of stairs unless you're strong. I would personally opt for something that weighs a lot less than this.
Get a vsett 10+R or a Dualtron Victor instead. They are both under 76lbs and perform much better then either Segway. Vsett would match the segway's water resistance if that's something important
@@Jonasegway Thanks for your response. I haven't heard of the R model. The Vsett website rates 10+ at 79lbs. The other model I'm considering is the Apollo City Pro 2022. Any opinion on that one? In the Vsett line, I'm guessing the 9+ would be adequate for me. I weigh 160lbs and plan on using a scooter for urban commuting in Seattle. One friend seemed to think that while the Apollo City Pro 2022 is the more expensive of the two, the added cost goes into higher build quality and better components.
@@LorenzoNW now the Apollo 2022 is another GREAT scoot. I think I am getting the just of what you are looking for. I have this feeling that the Apollo wouldn't be a big enough of a jump of an upgrade to recommend it over the vsett 10+R but then again you mentioned the vsett 9. The vsett 9 is ok and would perform .much better then a ninebot Max 30. Here's something to consider....what I highly recommend you do is get a piece of paper. Write down a bunch of things but start with things/features you NEED your next scooter to have. Keep in mind your typical riding environment so you know if you require a specific suspension design, portability, if certain creature comforts are necessary like anti puncture tires, empty handlebar space etc etc. I want you to sit down and think of EVERYTHING. If speed is important to you, just know that the ninebot is the only scooter that actually goes the speed they advertise where the speedo matches the GPS speed or is very very close. All of these other brands have been as much as 5.5mpg slower then their indicated speed readings. I need you to think about everything. Then take all of the scooters you have interest in and see which checks the most boxes. Them see if it goes your price point. This back and fourth took me almost 2months before I landed on the nami. I could only speak for the scooters I've ridden or have done extensive research on. One thing you can bet is I am always going to give you an unbiased answer. Your needs is more important to me then fanboying and trying to rub it off on you. In my honest opinion? If I were to give you a cut dry answer based off all the models you mentioned....for the money...I would get the Apollo phantom BUT the 60v model which is on pre-order. I'm not sure if I would go with a vsett 9+. It seems underpowered and for the money doesn't bring more value then the Apollo in my opinion. All in all. You need to make that list or we will be going in circles for a while.
has anyone tried activating the boost mode AFTER you reach top speed? literally in every video ppl use boost only for launching from start...I`m curious to see how it can be used in different situations.
This is a Segway-Ninebot branded Suoper scooter. A lot of R&D went on this industry leading design and they started their 1st super scooter concept 2 years ago.
Acceleration the acceleration looks good don't get me wrong but an Apolo or Mantis Pro is $1,000 cheaper and will do about the same speed. but I can carry it and is more portable and I put them in my trunk. The Segway seems very bulky. So in the end I feel like you're paying a lot of money for a scooter that is heavier just as fast and not as portable as a Mantis Pro or Apollo V2/V3 or similar 40ish mph scooter.
Yup, I have the phantom and it is definitely more portable, costs less and goes just about as fast as this (minus the acceleration, I am curious though how fast the v3 upgrade will be on phantom). I will say that the GT2 does ride more stable as well thanks to its heavier weight.
It’s been a while since I’ve been on the GT1 but it felt slow compared to the GT2 in terms of acceleration. GT1 is still better than lots of other scooters but I wasn’t impressed right away like I was with the GT2.
@@landpet thank you so much for the response. So essentially to get a wow factor in torque it doesn’t have that. That sucks because the gt1 was at the top of what I was willing to spend. Gt2 is too much money
I really want to compare it against my modified Ninebot project. What speed did you get to in these straights? You were going fast but the camera kept on ducking under and not showing the dashboard. I couldn't see how fast you managed to get to in the acceleration test.
I haven't tried the eagle one. My assumptions are that because of the heavier weight, it feels more stable, the acceleration should also be faster, the screen and features are more advanced and probably because of the brand name Segway.
They both have advantages, I felt like I had more control with this one but one flaw I noticed with this was when I was applying the brake, I did accidentally move the throttle to accelerate only cause of my hand movement which doesn't happen with the thumb throttles. But this throttle is very accurate.
I have the phantom and the Segway gt2 is better with more acceleration and more stable since it’s much heavier. But one good thing about Apollo is they are always trying to make it better especially with the v3 upgrade pack which will make my existing scooter even better.
GT1 is nice and smooth but GT2 is the way to go, it definitely costs more but that's the impressive scooter. 2WD is a big plus + crazy acceleration make it the better choice.
@@landpet I just don't the idea of my rear foot being tilted up like that. And if I wanted to avoid doing that, my feet would basically be side by side, which doesn't feel right to me. Thanks for showing foot placement, though. That helped me see just how short it really was.
@@kygnonkone1278 the closest thing I have to this is the Apollo Phantom which is much cheaper in terms of price however this GT2 accelerates more quickly and feels more stable. So definitely an upgrade over the Phantom.
Looks like good build quality but at 114lbs it's heavier than my Nami hyper scooter which is much quicker, higher top speed, and has more range. Deck should be longer. Inlet for front foot should be on the sides not in the center. No one rides with foot in center. Good shallow angle kick plate for rear foot. Poor range with small battery. Poor folding size. Who is this scooter for?
Neither gt1 or gt2 will touch the vsett 10+r. Compared to the NAMI, the nami Is in a whole different league. I was just riding my Dualtron Victor up a 6% incline this past weekend and it was holding 43mph (GPS) with my 205lbs which is already a higher speed then the gt2's maximum speed. To buy either of these is to know you're buying like the Honda civic type-R/Toyota Corolla GR's of the scooter world. They will likely be dam near bulletproof and could be ridden in all conditions while being super reliable. Not to mention these are the most unique stylistically of all scoots. They just aren't the best performers....not even close to being the best performers
Pretty sure the vsett 10 would win head to head. I’d love to see that video still. Mine is the 21ah. Zero issues. $1899. Even if the gt 2 were quicker ( I doubt it), you’re paying double for the name.
