How to install a Solid tire on a Ninebot max g30. Rear motor solid tire installation. Need two people to get it done. As long as you have the tools to change it your good. Amazon link to tire: amzn.to/3Zh0wNr
I put a solid on my rear and now it spins great with no load but it's not slow to accelerate and won't get to speed and motor makes a loud humming noise. Sadly it's far too rough for me so I will go back to air. Great video as well :)
This is cool, but on my max G2, i would prefer to put PMT tires and upgrade the front suspension to a fork style dual suspension and then upgrade the battery to 45 volt and get a disc brake kit for the rear tire to be able to stop better. But thats just me and it would obviously take a lot of work before it can even be done.
oh for sure. front suspension i think is key. I didnt have the money for that. But i agree you feel all the bumps in the front so that would be my route if i had more money.
Mine came with solid rubber tires (HiBoy S2 Pro) and they are rock hard with hardly any flex at all. I'd like to replace them with honeycomb tires but they look like a pain to remove 😩.
I did it my self in 5 minutes you didn't lube the tire after boiling it ,I just put my knees on the bottom and lubed the rim with tire lube good video though
You can’t see it in the video but we did we use some dish soap. But that’s great you were able to do it by your self. It was hard with two people I can imagine just how hard it was for one so hats off to you.
@@VehicleMods I find it hard to believe he did it by himself...I tried...after boiling it and lubing it and making a custom stand to hold it and using giant tire irons.......
I did it myself on both my ninebot max s I boiled the tire for 5 minutes while it was boiling I lubed the rim with tire lubricant then I kneeled on the rim on the floor and used my 3 bicycle tire irons and popped it on , it was easy the tire is very pliable when it’s hot , I used a bath towel to push it on so I didn’t burn my hands , but in all fairness I’m in the tire industry for 27 yrs
Off topic but does anyone know how to remove the yellow stripes from the rims ? I have tried a heat gun and also acetone but they seem to be painted / stuck on pretty good ? id like to jiust have the matt black rims with no colour ...
I was going to fix it the first time. The original was ripped before getting the solid tire. After the solid tire install it’s not needed. It’s just there. No need for it.
I put 2 fingers of slime everytime i would try to fix that ONE SMALL puncture in my tire, and everytime it would open up and lose air while riding. Then i put the entire fucking bottle of slime in until the wheel felt solid, and then it burned my cables because the tubeless had become as heavy as a rock from the slime. So i changed to solid tire for the rear and now indont have to worry about noone repairing my ninebot in the entire fucking country for less than 100$
I would have just get a scooter that comes with solid out of the box. Save tons of hassles and pain. Don't think I could even do it myself. There are plenty of scooters with similar spec that has solid tires now. Some comes with suspensions and cheaper as well. Such a no brainer if you haven't get the scooter yet.
well, I had less than 200 miles and have had 2 flats that the gel inside the tire did nothing for. If you had to replace a tire once you would change your tune here. I'm on my 2nd flat now and I'm literally considering throwing the scooter away over going thru the headache of taking the tire off and replacing it. *IF* I end up fixing it, I'll 100% use a solid tire.
