Yeah it fit perfectly. If it was an FK8 hood then it wouldn't line up.

Yeah I tried that but didnt help much. Its just how it is, carbon hoods just arent always 100% perfect fit.

Long story short, water wont get into anything that can get messed up.

Whats up. Yes it latches just like OEM hoods. No u can not drop it to close it because its not heavy enough. I always set mine down and then just push down on it from the middle where the latch is. Hood pins are always optional but highly recommend if you drive fast a lot of the time because the hoods latch can break off if enough wind force hits the hood from fast driving and you don't want your hood fly up and slamming into your windshield lol.

Yeah I've been thinking about getting pins. I just dont wanna make the holes on the hood lol.

@@MoisesEmpire understood and carbon fiber is a pickle to work with if you drill or make the holes it would not be an easy task but avoid highways for sure in the meantime ✌🏼

So pins and hooks are a must when installing one of these hoods I plan to purchase one but worry about installation

Not really a must. It's just extra security. Some people have had the bad luck of the latch hook breaking off the hood while driving and the hood fly's up and smacks the windshield which can crack the windshield.

No issues at all. In the front the vents are right over the plastic that covers a radiator and ofcourse the radiator is perfectly fine getting wet since it gets wets in the rain and while washing the car already through the front grill. The vent close to the windsheild is right between the engine and the firewall so any water that goes through there just hits the back wall and falls down to the ground. As u can tell by the date of when I made this video, I've had itna long time now and never had any problem.

It's great in the rain. My car lives outside cuz i don't have any garage space and I've never had a problem with water. No rust either. The vents sit over the plastic that covers the radiator so just the radiator gets wet and thats already always getting wet through the front grill.

If it's really bad even after trying to adjust threw position, then that might be a manufacturing defect in the hood and you should contact the place u got it from. As far as rain goes i wouldn't worry about it cuz water would just fall down to the fender liner so nothing electrical should get wet.

Price can vary from shop to shop but where I took my car they charged me $500 for the PPF.

I dont think anyone make them but then again I've never looked.

Whats the pop rod? The heat shield fit fine on my hood. There are openings just like the oem hood that you slid the heat shield into and then use 1 of the plastic clips in the middle of the heat shield to hold it in place.

Thats weird. Is the hole on the hood to small or something? Mine fits fine.

@@MoisesEmpire the pice that goes inside the whole is way too big and the heat shield just falls right off the arms are too small. And yes I have the same hood

That sucks but should be easy to make the hole on the hood bigger so that the arm fits into it. As far as the shield goes, you could just not install it. I didn't put mine back in.

No not really. Moves a little bit but my OEM hood did the same thing so to me its fine.

Yes use hood pins.latch ain't metal Like oem.so chances are it could snap.know from experience

@@jessesandoval9727 I got mine 3 weeks ago finally and I got mine from maperformance.com. Also got mine ceramic coated before I installed it. Is highly recommended coating it.

Ive never tried it so im not 100% sure but I hear that NO it will not fit. Supposedly the latch hook on the typeR hood is in a slightly different position compared to the other 10th gen civics which makes it not be able to close.

@@MoisesEmpire well I’d be fine with vented hood doesn’t just have to be a type r but do you know if it would cause any problems with the engine or anything like that idk if that’s stupid to ask but I don’t know a lot about cars

They were the ESR CS15

Not on the engine. The 2 holes are in front of the engine over the radiator and the center back hole falls just behind the engine by the intake manifold.

@@MoisesEmpire damn you bought the hood. Go work some over-time, and fund your mods. Btw, you should ceramic coat or put a clear protective cover on the CF hood. Also, put a few hood locks.

It's cusco. But i wrapped the center bar with carbon fiber vinyl wrap.

No, this only fits the 10th gen civics (2016-2021). But I'm sure the same company is working on making one for the new 2022 model.

Yes, some can go through the 3 air vent holes that it has. But nothing fragile gets wet.

Oh yeah. OEM is pretty heavy when holding it with both hands and carbon fiber one u can hold it 1 handed no problem. I did not weigh them but when looking online it said there is a 20lb difference.
