Facts if u go up to the avg person and ask em what a "rolex" looks like theyll likely say "idk" or describe a submariner or date just on jubilee. Nobody outside of watch collectors know anything about watches let alone how to spot a fake
I think you're forgetting that the people who buy these watches are mod fans and AP fans. They don't want a knock off with fake AP branding.. They wanna custom mod watch that is an interpretation with AP flavors.
Way to completely ignore the elephant in the room. Is the AP a finer better manufactured piece? Absolutely. Is the AP outside the reach of anything but a very small minority of watch buyers? Absolutely. And why would anyone want the Seiko homage to include AP branding? That would be silly. The Seiko homage is a lower cost item that mimics 'some' of the attributes of the AP, and is within the reach of most watch enthusiasts. Both watches have a place in the market, but its absurd to try and compare them as you did.
@@NoMoneyHubby Oh I have money, but my money is invested in items that earn me far more money over the long term than a watch would. My money makes money, it does not ride around on my wrist. Now if you're a multi-millionaire who doesn't give a damn about throwing down $100k for a watch, more power to ya.
Was I supposed to notice differences? 😅 Especially night and day differences? Maybe a slight difference but certainly not even close to night and day differences
Today we’re going to be comparing a Bugatti and a Skoda. You can see the finishing of the Bugatti is much better, the Skoda is terrible in comparison…..🤦🏻♂️
I understand him guys. It is actually “day and night”. Not on video, but on hand you just feel it. It’s the “same piece” but also day and night about the price. People that pay 30k for it actually, at the end of the day, spent less than the 300$ seiko. Let me explain: they bought it 25k from AP, but it’s worth more on the market. They actually made few thousand dollars just from owning it. The seiko only spent 300$, but it will always worth 2-300$…. It’s just not the same level, and same objectif ! I think it’s so cool that everybody can be happy, “you want to invest and have a perfect and rare piece? 30k” “You only like the design, but don’t have the money etc… and you got these nice Hommage watches ! Everybody happy, but neither the seiko owner should tell the ap owner he’s stupid (because he’s not) and the ap owner shouldn’t tell people with the seiko it’s a fake. My opinion!
It's also about 1000-10.000 times more expensive to acquire the AP. Not really a "Seiko" watch either. It's all aftermarket except for the NH35 movement inside.
I think the dial is also aftermarket. I'm fairly new to watches but I've never seen a Seiko with a Tapisserie dial like that one. If it is a dial produced by Seiko can someone let me know the model of the watch produced with it?
For an reasonable price and abordable price if someone who don't have to much money but want to buy a much expensive watch a seiko like this is not bad.you can get and autaumatic watch with a classic look for just and cheap price seiko is not that to big mark but ist not bad to use the time will be same if you buy a watch around 500dolars or 1 or 2 million dollar the time will be the same.
Most people never heard of an AP. Plus, guess what? Most will never see one in their lifetime! Rolex is going down too. Gavril makes an excellent Swiss with for under $500.
sure there's a difference, but I doubt you'd notice it unless you either handle a lot of real ones, or have a direct comparison. I bet even the the biggest watch snob couldn't tell the difference until they were in hand (assuming they were both labeled the same)
Only people who can afford the real thing can pull off wearing a knock off. For everyone else, it will be obvious that it’s a fake just because you could never afford a real one.
Cheap watch brands straight up ripping off iconic watch designs from Patek, AP, Rolex etc. and then calling them their own should be illegal... You can't just take a piece of iconic design which has been shaped into perfection over decades and rip it off and call it your own so that people who can't afford the real deal can walk around pretending they're wearing a Nautilus or smt. It's ridiculous... Make your own designs instead you cheapscapes...
Crybaby - let people wear those what you call rip-offs. I mean if you like the aesthetic of a AP or whatever but can’t afford one why shouldn’t you be able to get one for like 300 bucks? Not everybody can live in a cloud as you do
