We were thrilled to see Seiko return to the Speedtimer in Solar Chronograph form earlier this summer, recalling the design of the iconic Sportura of the ‘90s. The concept is a deconstructed chronograph, and Seiko has brought all the components under a single crystal with this newest Prospex Speedtimer Solar Chronograph. There is a dizzying array of activity on the watch when the timer is brought to life, and in this video we’re breaking everything down in a first look. I think this is a cool, funky (if not as funky as the original) release. I'm good with the sizing. I love the orange on the limited edition version, though I am not so sure about the dark center links on that model. That one gives of more of a Giugiaro models vibe.

Thanks for review. How this watch matches regular outfits? Wouldn't it too thick to wear with shirts etc? It would be nice to see also if this watch looks well with some other straps.

I just tried on the panda today while wearing a suit and was suprised how nice it looked. It's actually the thinnest design in the Speedtimer range

I bought the SFJ005, beautiful watch and my first limited ed coming Seiko. I've been buying JDM watches and one thing I've notice with this model (SFJ00*), they have it posted as a JDM watch but the caseback says "Made in China". Seiko usually would be having it between 6 and 7 o'clock "Made in Japan" and sometimes on the caseback. But this one although categorized as a JDM but the caseback says otherwise. Waiting for the review on theses models soon.

JDM means it is sold in the Japanese Domestic Market, it's not a statement about where it is produced.

I love how he describes things and uses words like “look” or “you’ll see” instead of actually showing the watch do what he’s describing. You’re a watch channel, please focus more on the watch than the person talking.

Great watches! But Pleeeease take this video down and re-edit it. It’s okay to have a few pauses and uhhhs. This is not tiktok. Blake sounds like bad AI. Couldn’t finish the video. Bad for view time. Bad for algorithm. (Drops mic)
