Great video, I personally think Seiko is the number one watch brand in the world. It covers all points, from low budget to high end pieces. The price point is unmatched.

indeed. and i'm quite happy that they don't really sell super "cheap" watches for under €100 like Casio does. so you just always know you spend more than a €100 for a Seiko. what surprises me is that they do sell wall clocks for only €30. While Seiko also sells cheaper budget watches under the name brand "Lorus". So people won't associate Seiko for making cheap budget watches. Which can harm their reputation. Like with Casio. You can own a Casio watch for over €100+ and people be like "oh it's a Casio it's nothing worth its probably only worth €35 or something. They don't want that to be the case with Seiko which is actually more known for good quality for an affordable price.

@@Poemwriter_Angelo so what your saying is seiko has good brand awareness than compared to casio. Though casio watches have extreme precision with automatic time setting, they're quite cheap

@@The_Chitrakarist well Casio watches are great. But Seiko is like. If you want "Seiko". You better pay more than a 100. Casio is also known for making calculators for a cheap price. If Seiko would make calculators. They would release it under budget name brand Lorus. So no one would associate Seiko as the brand that makes cheap calculators. That could harm their name and reputation. So basically you pay for a name. So my point is. If you own an expensive Casio watch. People might think it's cheap because it says Casio. That also makes cheap calculators. And cheap watches. Seiko doesn't want to release really affordable watches under the name Seiko. So the brand Seiko stays associated with making quality watches for a "decent" price. If they want to release cheaper budget watches for a very affordable price. (Under 100) Seiko releases them under brand name Lorus.

For me 500-1000$ Seiko and Hamilton, 200-500$ Orient. I started with this 3 and still like them.

I absolutely love Seiko. I’m lucky to own Rolex, Omega, Tag and JLC. But my Seiko Samurai and Presage share the majority of my wrist time. Both +5 secs a day, within or exceeding most of the above, with similar levels of quality for a fraction of the price and bags more character. I always try and educate my friends about the value of Seiko and their importance to the horological world! A watch to suit every budget, whether quartz or mechanical. Grand Seiko will be my next purchase, absolute quality which is a cut way above all the Swiss watches mentioned above, on a par with AP and Patek, again for the fraction of the price but with characterful dials. The best watch company in the world for me!!!

Seiko Turtle Padi. Got in a blue and red nato strap and is one of my favourites from my collection. I recently ordered a Seiko Samurai moded by Marc (from Long island Watch) with the Great Wave of Kanagawa lume dial.

I have a golden Seiko "Daydate" from 1992 the year pf my birth so this is probably my most meaningful seiko. Right now I have 3 vintage Models and a D1 Milano Skeleton with Seiko NH Movement ^^

Lack of authorized dealers is a major problem. I live in the nation's capital and we only have one in Maryland. My next vet is hopping on a train to New York City! Try to get one of the nicer ones and they're unavailable. Might as well pursue a Rolex. You'll have just as much luck.

This is the funny thing about Seiko, they are trying to change their image of cheapy by increasing their price tags BUT they just can't keep consistent quality control over their lines, especially under $1k.

Sadly, Seiko has killed itself when they introduced the Prospex lineup. Now, every watch they reveal, its price is at $3,000 and has QC issues here and there.

Seiko definitely doesn't make the most precise or reliable movements for the money. In my experience their movements are FAR from reliable, especially on the lower end market Seiko is big disappointment.
